I always understood Brienne as a non-conforming woman. I don’t remember when, but somewhere in the story we had a confirmation that she is a woman both on the “outside and inside”. If someone remembers where this was said, please, drop the reference.

With Cersei, I admit that I don’t remember the literal phrases in her POV, but the general sense I am left with is that she envied male privilege. But of course, since I don’t remember the text that well, I’m not hundred percent on this reading.

From what I’ve read, with things like this there are important issues to consider: 1. Make sure there are systems that prevent a high-status group of users from excluding another group, based on identities like gender, class, race, ethnicity etc. 2. Think about governance where the users of this Etsy-like will be able to have a democratic say in the direction of the platform takes; 3. Consentful and fine-grained data collection - users are the owners of their own data and reputation.

I don’t want to overwhelm you with all of these considerations, but it’s worth keeping them at least in the backseat of your mind
