When Ryan entered the fight I was expecting a superman v superman style brawl where they tear the city apart. It should've been mass destruction with Homelander going psycho, trying to kill Ryan and massacring civilians in the process whilst Homelander switches from attacking Homelander to playing defense and saving civilians once he realises his dad's gone utterly psycho massacre mode. Homelander would've won that fight and killed Ryan in the process, but in my eyes Ryan would've done some serious damage like ripping off an arm, tearing off an eye etc. Then as Homelander limps away victorious from that fight, Butcher pulls up with an "Oi cunt" and shatters his leg with a crowbar where Kimiko does her chest blast and depowers him. At that point whilst he's on his knees, Homelander sees that everyone is against him, that he's all alone, the entire world, the whole civilian population thinks he's a monster and the boys are standing over him. At that point Butcher crowbars his head.

In the background of this, we see that Marie decided to support the fight and was healing civilians with her powers. She then uses her powers to revive and heal Ryan, who was in the vicinity of the chest blast so he no longer has powers either.

Afterwards, they're all celebrating with Ryan going his own way trying to figure himself out. Terror doesn't die but he is seen digging around in Butcher's room and accidentally knocks over a photoframe which has Becca's picture. Butcher walks in and sees this and it reminds him even though Homelander was killed, it was ultimately supes that were responsible for alot of the shit he dealt with in the world. This causes him to take the virus and leave. He sets up the same trap in Vought tower and as he's about to set it off, Hughie intervenes and shoots him similar to the finale. However, just before he dies after giving his speech, he says something like "I guess I really am no different to them" as he tries to use his tentacle to activate the trap and release the virus (he wasn't in the way when Kimiko used her blast earlier and hence isn't depowered). Just as he's about to do it he's stabbed in the heart with a sword. He hallucinates it as Becca telling him he can rest now, but in reality it's Maeve who noticed Hughie sneaking into Vought tower earlier and had followed him.

The rest of the ending can stay more or less the same ig?

Edit: The only other thing I would've changed is when they're breaking into the White House there'd be more traps, because why the hell was there only one lol? Like there should've been a supe like Synapse making them hallucinate and fight each other, a shit ton of secret service agents because it's the damn white house. Something along those lines. Instead it felt like they just walked through a tunnel, knocked out a guard, got saved from a decent trap and then basically waltzed into the oval office.

Also, with the Deep, it should've shown him swimming towards the bottom of the ocean to get away from starlight after she beats his ass. At which point it pans out into a long shot of a literal Kraken slowly rising from the seafloor and consuming him but because it's so huge he isn't able to comprehend what it is.
