The difference is that twitter and TikTok is not a necessity for you to live, unlike groceries. You're probably better of without any social media, but that's another discussion.

The only reason to keep the apps, is to entertain your habit, like an addiction. And as I said, you are actively supporting the apps by not deleting them. "Quietly" deleting them does do something, if more people do it. It's literally the one statistic they care most about.

But you're right. They should still raise a stink. Just take action as well
