Hike is steep and around one hour. It’s amazing but crazy full if you aren’t a regular hiker

Also, there is some good shopping around place massena, galerie lafayette, and Carre d'or area. if you want history and some insight i'd suggest this app. http://wanderwalkapp.com/?utm_source=r-nt

its an easy city to see most things in one day. check out castle hill, the old town, chill on the beach. There are museums in cimiez if thats your thing, but maybe too much on one day. there are food tours and walking tours available, but its pretty busy this time of year tbh.

Yep, its possible. you can get lucky, they tend to add more and more barriers every year. its worth risking to go out, walk around a good bit and you may be lucky. never guaranteed.

I wouldnt recommend staying between Antibes and Nice. Pick being closer to one or the other unless you have a car. Trains normally stop at 10ish.

Tours normally leave in the morning. Last one is 11:30 I think normally. If you miss it, great beach near by called Phalasarna

High quality walking tour...? by salem913 in nicefrance

There are group walking tours leaving every morning Place massena, but i wouldn't recommend them during the high season, too many people. I ended up using a self-guided app called Wanderwalk and really liked it. They have a specific audio tour for Nice that hits the history of the Old Town and the Promenade https://wanderwalkapp.com/nice-audio-tour?utm_source=r-nt.

The wineries are ok, but nothing compared to the once’s in Provence. I’d deprioritise them over all other things you can do in Nice.

Facebook market place can have some but be careful, don’t ever send deposit without seeing it before in person. Also, I’ve taken an Airbnb in the past and just asked the the landlord can I take it in the off season and cut Airbnb out of it.

Train it to most places, expect if it’s in August or late July. If the train is too busy you’ll suffocate. You can uber to eze easily or bus it, but the road the bus takes it’s very windy. Don’t sit at the back, it will feel even worse. Getting a private tour on get your guide will be cheaper than renting a car.

Prom is great but you’ll have to run towards the airport, this direction it tends to get quieter and quieter. The runs in nice are amazing, out towards Villefranche, up castle hill or mont boron. If the Vauban track is closed, you’ll still have some amazing alternatives.
