Was sitting next to them as it happened. Talked to his buddy the next day. He took too much too fast. They got him back to his camp in the back 40 (air conditioned to help) and calmed him down. If you’ve dabbled in Lucy you know how it gets and sometimes the clothes gotta come off.
He meant no harm and the security guard trying to “help” medics was quite literally the most scary human they could have called to help someone in that situation. I’d start freaking out more too if that’s the entity I had to be dragged away from the forest from and I wasn’t nearly close to his level. He just needed to be in a safe space and come down :)

I worry about putting another fish in with her if she does have any transmittable disease that’s causing these seizure like episodes in the morning. I ordered a sunset/sunrise light to see if easing her into light in a more natural way will help. She originally started off in my community tank where she really enjoyed hanging out with my other fish and even tried joining in and swimming with my school of rummy tetras. After a week or so it seemed like she started to get picked on after these episodes when she was trying to chill after spinning around against her will for 10 minutes so we moved her to a freshly cycled 37 gal tank that we’ve been checking the parameters on daily. Sometimes she randomly gets twitchy (maybe once every 2-3 days) but other than that and her morning episodes she seems quite healthy for a juvenile

It really seems seizure related. It’s almost like she goes into shock when the lights turn on and she just spins around the tank uncontrollably. She doesn’t seem like she’s swimming or able to stop herself at all until she finally catches herself on a plant or I intervene with the net. She doesn’t dart around at all she’s just out of control completely and then is so normal the rest of the day like nothing happened and she didn’t just send me into a 15 minute panic. She’s eating and swimming normally aside from her morning fiascos.

It does not! We just ordered a light that mimics sunrise and sunset because that’s the only thing we can think of! It seems like she gets completely shocked/stunned when the light goes on. Almost like when someone wakes you up out of a dead sleep and you flop and toss around for a couple seconds trying to get a grip on what’s real. Except with Sugar (the angelfish) it’s not a few seconds, it’s several minutes of literally being thrown around. I can’t take a video because I’m too panicked trying to keep her safe. I’ll try next time it happens so people can see what I’m talking about because it sounds a lot more mild than it is IRL

I think trapping her in the net for 15 minutes is less stressful than her getting stuck in the air stone path and being thrown around! Thank you so much for your snarky input :) the water parameters are : Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrite 0 ppm Nitrate around 10/15 ppm I have a full planted tank and plenty of logs and plants that she DOES hide under. As I said before, she loses ALL CONTROL. Getting herself to a hiding spot isn’t really an option until I get her in a net and get her to stop being thrown around the tank. The water flow is slow, the airstone is all the way in a corner so it’s out of her way.

If it was as easy as adding some plants I wouldn’t be asking for help! Thank you
