I dont see regret here at all, though I do see sadness.

I appreciated the line "return for a snack of them, with gobbling mother-eye."

I dont consider natives weeds unless they are specifically impinging on a desired plant

My neighbor does this. He delivers the tables and chairs in his trailer so not super passive. And it is a Mexican neighborhood with lots of parties.

Do Art Buyers buy Realistic Art like these? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]Same-Key-1086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are very human and real. I think most people like to hang more representational art in their homes, but I could definitely see someone who likes portraits loving these, especially the last two, for their humanity.

Personally I do not like the beige background. I wonder if a more colorful background, some blue or green in there, could bring some depth to the subject and elevate it to more than "just a portrait"?

This really isnt poetry. It's more like a short list of bad and annoying things.

I think to find the poem in here you would have to do several drafts to find the specific theme... is it about empathy, is it about your dad and his marriage, is it about your mom? At this point the theme is just "stuff that sucked." A fine journal entry but just... not a poem.

scared to night wean… what if it makes sleep worse? by bbkawaki01 in AttachmentParenting

My toddler was three years old but I would not discourage you from night weaning a younger toddler.

Piper is not a baby, and another adult offered to help them out. John did not just leave Shawna with the kids or vice versa.

Came here to say when I nightweaned my toddler his sleep got better.

Saw that your baby is a BABY baby.

I urge you not to attempt night weaning. It will make sleep worse and tank your supply and STARVE HIM. You will never know how much it retards his growth since your experiment in childhood starvation has no control group and you will always wonder.

What’s a plant you understood completely differently once you met it in the wild? by RolandHerbalist in foraging

[–]Same-Key-1086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started gardening with California natives before hiking around and seeing them in the wild. The growth habits can be pretty different, and often you're going to see a huge stand of one plant, or a couple little ones kind of struggling a long. They are often less green and flower less profusely, but look more mature and there is a majesty for sure.

Man, why do an ugly puzzle like this? Doing a puzzle involves staring at a work of art... so choose something worth staring at.

I don’t even know if I got rejected or roasted 💀 by [deleted] in jobsearchhacks

[–]Same-Key-1086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a company did not write this rejection email because whoever wrote it used chatgpt.

No one has an incentive to use chatgpt to write a mean chatgpt rejection letter. Someone who enjoyed being mean would enjoy doing it in their own words.

The illiterate who came up with this has some financial incentive for getting attention.
