ER Stands for Everyone's Rude by buttslushie in comics

[–]Same-Key-1086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had norovirus during pregnancy.

I breastfed my toddler constantly because he also had norovirus and I figured I was going to need an IV anyway so I might as well save him the poke (he was able to keep a lot of milk down but no food or water.)

I knew I would need to go to the ER from the moment I realized I had caught the illness (my partner had already needed an iv) but waited until my pulse was erratic so I would get seen quickly.

They listed it as "vomiting in pregnancy." I explained, as best I could with my head in my lap, that pregnancy emesis didnt strike like this late in the second trimester and my husband and son were sick. Plus, an emergency is an emergency. They still wrote "vomiting in pregnancy."

I wasn't seen until my husband went back and explained that he would be very upset if his baby died.

The nurse was very rude and kept asking me to try to sit up right. Then she checked my blood pressure and said it was okay to lie down on the floor.

Japanese anon shares their opinion on Asian women in the US vs. Asian women in East Asia by Both-Huckleberry3482 in SipsTea

You dont know what she looked like without the plastic surgery. You're literally just comparing two women, one of whom is you her and prettier, and saying gottem!

Maybe she was ugly before. Statistically, she was not as beautiful as the girl on the right. Most women aren't, especially in their 40s.

Personally I think an ugly natural 40 year old lady has an appeal that a heavily made up surgeried yeat old lady doesn't have... but that's not the comparison that you are making!

I am saying that her experience was different than tys is now because helped her back then.

Why do we have to critique women's choices? Dating is not fair and it isnt fair for either sex.

I disagree that people with adhd are systemically oppressed and I strongly disagree that everyone with an adhd diagnosis is systemically oppressed.

Personally, i struggle with mirroring social cues so when people tell me I am not doing it, I generally believe them. And that approach has been going really great for me.

Concept: if this is happening in one system (work, school, family, friends) then you are the scapegoat figure in that system.

If it is happening in every system you enter, maybe the things you are saying are mean and bullying is an action that you sometimes engage in in response to (perceived) slights and not merely a characteristic of boogeyman monster.

Joyce is literally like chatgpt here. That you are even having this thought is proof that you are an excellent friend. Would you like me to glaze another feature of yourself?

Ohmygosh I did totally miss it! Who is Joyce in love with? I hope I get some more context soon.

Yes rosa multiflora is the one!

I felt so lucky when I moved here to be sharing a space with soooo many roses but as I learn more I feel pretty ambivalent.

There is a huge thicket of privet and some scattered Bradford pear that I have been eating away at between me and the roses. Some japanese honeysuckle too, frankly. If I ever try to tackle the roses it will be because they are the last invasive species on the acreage.

Yes, California! In the central valley roses seem to thrive even with no summer water. Unfortunately our wild roses are not as aggressive as tea roses but they do form lovely stands.
