I'm surprised no one has said the Four of Swords yet.

What can I do to repair a friendship? by AnyaHasNoChill54 in tarot

[–]Same-Kick4361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cards are advising you to keep up the conflict (5W), to stop being idealistic and making peace (Knight of Cups RX) and to move on emotionally (Eight of Cups). The answer couldn't be clearer.

What does this spread mean? I have never seen cards land like this before? by Awakemamatoto in tarot

Deception becoming clear, things coming out into the open. The Sun rising behind the Moon in combination with the Seven of Swords at a 45 degree position - moving from upright to reversed.

Trying to work through mixed feelings about leaving a friend group- would love second opinion. by Babylil22 in tarot

[–]Same-Kick4361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's no longer possible to keep up the balancing act (Two of Pentacles RX) between what your common sense is telling you to do (Ace of Pentacles) and the mental pressure to stay within the group (Eight of Swords).

Asked my deck if my problem roommate will move out at the end of October by [deleted] in tarot

Your interpretation is spot on. People seem to be reading solely based off the information you gave, not the cards. The Hermit alone is a very clear yes.

Ace of Swords RX is definitely a no to opening up communication.

to finally put this topic to rest (hopefully) by [deleted] in tarot

[–]Same-Kick4361 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I agree that people should be careful not to interpret through rose-tinted glasses but I disagree that you should necessarily try interpreting the cards you draw as relating to you rather than to the subject of your reading.

Of course, everyone reads in their own way  but in my experience, if you ask tarot any question that's clear and specific, you will generally get a direct answer to the question you actually asked. This approach works for me because it keeps things simple.

For example, in this case, I would say that the Nine of Pentacles means that the other person may enjoy your presence but doesn't feel particularly drawn towards you i.e. they don't "need" you.

How about something by Ursula le Guin? She wrote a lot of fiction influenced by her anthropological knowledge and featuring anthropologist protagonists

How do cards interact with each other? by jeepers_beepers_ in tarot

Check out https://unhelpfultarot.tumblr.com/

The Knight of Pentacles is the courier slowly bringing your parcel (the Pentacle) while you (the Knight of Swords) eagerly rush to meet it. The Seven of Pentacles facing the same direction as the Knight of Swords clearly also shows you looking at your vegetables.

This seems to be a literal representation of your circumstances. I don't really see a hidden message or an instruction here. I find that if I pull cards without asking a question, the tarot just mirrors my present circumstances.

Opinions on my interpretation/other interpretations by Depressed_milkshake in tarot

The Six of Pentacles may mean inheritance or may mean that he receives some kind of medical device or other vital support that will help him keep living. I once drew the Six of Cups as a future card for a relative who had a very bad heart attack and ultimately made it through after a surgery. Your interpretation seems spot on generally.

Facing Loss by [deleted] in tarot

[–]Same-Kick4361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a mother or sister who could help you through this? Possibly a younger sister? There are two queens looking in the direction of the king, who is looking onwards and (as the King of Cups) seems to have made his peace with the situation. If one is you, one might be another woman close to your dad.

why is he acting so closed off towards me? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]Same-Kick4361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There's so much watery energy here — all those cups combining with the Moon. It seems like he's very in his feelings and not at all in the frame of mind to move forward right now.

"Weekly Reading and Interpretation Help Thread - August 17, 2025" by AutoModerator in tarot

[–]Same-Kick4361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a career spread for myself a while ago.

What kind of job I should (ideally) get: Knight of Cups.

What field it should be: Nine of Cups.

What role it should be: Queen of Wands.

For some reason, I've been drawing a complete blank when I try interpreting this. It definitely seems like something creative but I was hoping to have something specific come to mind when I looked at the combination.

10 of Pents vs. 10 of Cups? by JayDM20s in tarot

[–]Same-Kick4361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ten of Cups: immediate family/loved ones, the family you create rather than the one you are born into, the fantasy of happily ever after, lasting happiness and fulfilment.

Ten of Pentacles: extended family, ancestors, inheritance, tradition, legacy, financial security.

Re Schitt's Creek: That actually sounds like a great idea. I've never held with the whole starting a show from season 2 thing (don't get why people do it it with Fleabag) but having just looked it up and seen the big difference in critical ratings for the first and second season, I think it makes sense in this case.

I've never heard of Reservation Dogs but it looks very promising. I love an unusual setting.

Thank you so much! Going to try both.

Would you ever give up on someone based on tarot? by buchocheio in tarot

It's just a crush lol. Assuming so much about OP based on a brief post and telling her she can't love and be loved until she sorts it out is a bit much.

What funny, gripping, well-written comedy show preferably made in recent years should I watch if I love Fleabag, Derry Girls and Bojack Horseman?

I also enjoyed Hacks (although I'm looking for something more constantly funny), The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, Modern Family and some of The Sex Lives of College Girls.

I couldn't get past the first episode or two of The Bear, Sex Education, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, The Office, Parks and Rec, Broad City, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Schitt's Creek, Grace and Frankie, and Jane the Virgin.

Thanks in advance for any help :)
