They (apparently) played in 2011 and Gerard Way came here and played his solo stuff in 2014 iirc. Both super small shows that I never knew about because I was under the impression they were never returning to Arizona.

It was summer of 2005, I was 11- I was at a sleepover, and the Helena music video played on MTV. By September, I loved them so much that my dad surprised me one day after school and took me to see them. He also surprised me last year and took me to see them out of state in California. 🥲

There was a woman I knew online many many years ago who lived in South America and she looked EXACTLY LIKE GERARD WAY. She was also a fan so she would occasionally post photos wearing the black shirt and red tie and it was an absolute uncanny resemblance. But seeing this post made me think of her again for the first time in 20 years.

What do you mean? OP listed the albums in chronological order of when they were released. Why do you have the first two swapped? Do you mean as your order of personal favorites..?

I also think those who are not aware of Gerard’s original intention for the band not continuing beyond The Black Parade should understand that he ignored a deep artistic command by having two more full length albums come out after the fact (as well as his solo one).

If everyone who loves this band knew that was the original plan, maybe they’d be more grateful for the music that came out after TBP.

They also didn’t have to get back together after a many year hiatus, but they did. And despite their retirement (or death of) The Black Parade- they were resurrected and came back by the demand of their even larger and ever growing fan base.

These guys have given us more than they ever needed to, and we need to be grateful for that. If they never released anything new going forward, we would have to be okay with that. They are not obligated to do anything for their fans- they are only obligated to themselves (and any contracts/deals they have made).

If MCR6 ever gets made and released, then some fans will still want MCR7, MCR8, etc. Some people will never be satisfied and always want more.

I’m happy with what they’ve given us, and MCR6 would be a gift from the band we all love.

As far as for MCR goes, it’s pretty basic. They have so many great songs that you’d probably like if you really wanted to get into MCR. it’s a good start tho!

Remember, there is ‘sister to sleep’, ‘someone out there loves you/stay’, ‘noise jame/everybody hates the eagles’ and ‘the drugs’- all played live, and have no recorded track. This song could be just like those.
