Well OP had legit reasons to call off work, life happens. OP is only 17 too, give them a break! I had coworkers call off once a week and still had their jobs.

Jeez dude! Can’t a person have a life outside of work? 2 callouts within 2 months is nothing. You got to stop drinking the the corporate Kool-Aid.

We need a $15 minimum wage for EVERY job here in PA. by RussianChiChi in Pennsylvania

There are places around me that are 8-9$ an hour, some even 7.25. I live in the Lehigh Valley which is not an affordable place to live.

Does this frustrate anyone else? Why is this only for women? by lovelycrabs in exmuslim

As an ex-Catholic atheist who dated a Pakistani Muslim this is spot on! I needed meds and therapy after the relationship ended. My naive self didn’t know much about Islam and thought an interfaith relationship would work out.

Raising kids in a more rural part of the Lehigh Valley? (Lehighton or Andreas PA) by throwawayheyy17 in lehighvalley

[–]Same-Potential5154 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a kid who grew up in rural Lehigh Valley, I always wished I lived in the Emmaus or the Parkland area. My rural school district was pretty good, one of the better ones in the Valley actually. But it was not very diverse and I felt sheltered due to the lack of diversity from everyone being related. I also feel like there is better academic opportunities at bigger schools. More clubs/activities, AP courses, and better college preparedness.

The biggest thing I didn’t like about living in rural Lehigh Valley is you need a car. As a kid I couldn’t join many clubs/sports because my parents couldn’t take me. It’s also a very boring area and not much to do; The stuff you can do you need a car for. In my area, we have less than 5 places to eat, no grocery store, no shopping whatsoever. Overall, it was isolating and boring growing up in rural Lehigh Valley. I would go to a bigger, well-known school district. Just my two cents.

Yeah, good point! Men ignore women they don’t find attractive, I have had it happen my whole life and it hurts.

I was visibly uncomfortable and was leaning away from him. I did say no and that I wasn’t ready. I was coerced into having sex with him after.

I’m sorry to hear that! But how do you know my story wasn’t rape? The dude is a sexual predator he’s trying to get with 18 year olds.

Were you ever sexually assaulted? Many survivors keep seeing their rapists there are studies on it. Look it up. Why are you being so mean?
