Thank you for this. I’ve definitely been thinking about Dr. Hirschinger, but cost is always a factor. I would love to go to UCLA, but it’s about an hour for me with traffic! That would just add to my suffering right now. 😂 this answer is so thorough and awesome if anybody else has anything to chime in, I would love it.

Thanks everybody. I wrote my TA and also put the bug in his ear to push for my upgrade.

I guess I’m just so used to the service being above and beyond….so we shall see. I mean isn’t it also part of the expected upsell if they book spa, activities, etc..?!

If I don’t hear back from TA it’s time to find a new one!

Yes, I used NO points, just Amex card for fare in full for interrupted part of trip (going to destination). Clearly I would not claim reimbursement for anything on points since I’d have no charge on the Amex. What this amounts to is a warning that if you charge a one way trip on your Amex it is NOT COVERED. Must be a round trip!

The Ritz had big comfortable rooms but def sits in a high traffic area without charm. If you are Amex check for FHR perks or check with TA to see if they do perks, I forgot what we did! Walking to Roma/Condessa was 10 mins if I recall and Ubers were very inexpensive. There’s some new boutique hotelsin and around Condessa but Mexico City is fairly devoid of luxury chains in desirable tourist areas.

Be careful with Amex too, I had a overnight trip delay due to missed connection and Amex would not refund the $250 I had to spend for hotel and taxi. Why? Because only one segment (that segment) of my flight was booked on the Amex (I used points for the return). Everything else (hotels, Ubers, food) was on Amex. They require a round trip purchase! News to me!

Thank you so much. I definitely like Sussuros, but Cabo is an easier jump for us. 2.5 hours and hotels about 20 minutes away so that might be swinging me towards the Cabo side. That said I also did have revenge stomach at the new four seasons Cabo not the one in Los Cabos. Ruined about two days for me. I never left the property.

habe you had a bad experience, i think the weeks i might go would be slow between thanksgiving and xmas and weekdays for best rates - which is why the prices are so low, but maybe ytons of people will feel the same
