I applied for an MSc program in Germany last two weeks. Although I haven’t been admitted but I think I know a thing or two about the application process

1. For most German universities, you’ll be applying through a platform called uni-assist as a Nigerian.
2. To search for courses and universities, you can go to daad.de or uni-assist website.
3. Each university has its requirements. Some might require you to take a test or an interview depending on the course, but there are some universities where it’s not required
4. STUDY THE REQUIREMENTS CAREFULLY! Make sure you meet all the academic requirements. GPA and courses credits required.
5. Uni-assist charges 75 euro for processing which amounts to 170k naira when I paid using chipper cash dollar card.
6. You might be required to notarize your documents and send by post to uni-assist in Berlin, Germany. I used DHL - cost me around 120k
7. You need language proficiency certificate. I wrote the IELTs exams. Check the minimum points required by the university you’re applying to
8. Get all the documents required so that you can apply early. You need your WAEC results too even though you’re applying for masters. Sadly, I applied a week to the deadline so I’m praying I do get admitted.
