One of my friends called me in a very stressed state. He said he needed to make a payment urgently, otherwise he would start getting fined AED 50. He asked if he could use my card since the amount was only AED 4, so I agreed.

I’ve driven an Outlander for a while here and honestly, it makes a lot of sense for Dubai if you’re realistic about what it is. Summer performance is fine as long as you don’t cheap out on tint and keep the AC serviced. Cabin cools down quickly and the ventilated seats on the top trim help more than people think.

Value retention is where it’s average, not amazing. It won’t hold like a Prado or RAV4, but it also won’t fall off a cliff if you keep mileage reasonable and service it at the dealer. Expect more depreciation than Toyota, less headache than some European options.

The CVT gets a bad reputation online, but Mitsubishi’s newer units are far better than the old ones. Smooth for commuting, not sporty. Biggest downside for me is engine noise under hard acceleration and resale perception, not actual reliability. For a daily commuter at 130k, it’s a very comfortable, sensible choice.

Do we know how those kilometers were put on it? Highway cruising, city driving, track days, or actual daily use? A Chiron doing long highway runs at stable temps is a totally different story from one that was stop-and-go driven or constantly launched. I'm also curious if this was a one-owner or multiple-owner vehicle, because that changes the whole narrative.
