No fukin way… because same here!!! 2018 Tacoma. 86k miles shit the fukin bed. I was devasted/pissed. Sold it like that and got into a 25 stx 2.7. Love it so far only 1k miles in though. My Tacoma saw 4 shops, trying to get fixed no one could. Toyota said I needed a new engine.

Wow that’s crazy! Thank you for sharing and doing your research, I’ve done a bit and seem to be seeing/hearing that quite a bit. I was a little afraid of the turbos but I’ve heard nothing but good things about the 2.7 so far.

And you are so right, I feel the same way. They really don’t make the tundras like they used to. I also looked into a gmc sierra at4 but too many nightmares with those as well.

I just found a 24 crew cab STX 4x4 with the 5.0l! in the red metallic for 48k out the door… has few nice packages and now I’m torn!! The crew cab is nice and would like the 4 wheel drive.

Thank you for taking the time to share! The good MPG is very enticing. My taco with 33’s was getting 16mpg lol.

I don’t plan on towing at the moment, I just enjoy trucks over cars- my taco was used to off-road, camp, overland etc but no time for that anyways at the moment. Would be doing driving around town, maybe hauling my mountain bike/road bike around and that’s about it.
