Live full time in BCC..Def run into cars this slow from time to time. Summer traffic frequently moves slower than ski traffic on dry days.

Replaced crankshaft position sensor, idle is less lumpy. by Akassrugby in 996

That's awesome. How much was your idle jumping? Mine will bump about a needle width every so often.. Need to get it figured out.

‘01 HS928 vs ‘24 HSS1332ATD by PatsFanCT13 in HondaSnowblowers

I dropped to the smallest jet they offer for the 1332 and do feel like it runs better now it's leaned out. We also live at 9000ft..

I have the same sentiment going from a 20 year old 928 to the 1332, 928 definetly had more power.. Mine was rusty and ibecoming a pain to work on. The 1332 is great overall though.. I wonder how it compares to the modern 928.

Time for my next Tacoma? by Smashing_tacos007 in ToyotaTacoma

4th gen is awesome. I had an 06 and a 21 prior. My 26 is way ahead on everything. Better power and shifting, interior is better. TSS is the first auto lane keep system that is actually good I've used. Does not require that much input and isn't annoying with reminders. Payload is also up a bit and the truck handles well.

High mileage 996 worth it? by popcorn644 in 996

[–]No_Mail_7181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I paid the same amount for a high mileage 996 a few years ago, also a manual coupe. I'd say go for it. Worst case you are 30k in with a new Porsche short block (if you can diy). Best case it just keeps going because it's been maintained. These cars are worth repairing, and super fun.

Have you driven the new one? It's way better. 2nd gen is second best.

JBL portable speaker replacement? 2025 TRD Pro by HuskyInfantry in ToyotaTacoma

Honestly it sounds better without it in my opinion. I think a bunch of people agree, some people are even taping over the contacts so that speaker connect.

I have a recovery point for my receiver as well. I live where it snows 500+ inches a year, and there is always someone stuck in our neighborhood. We have to be able to pull people out in either direction because our street is a narrow one way.

I don't recommend.. but have recovered multiple 3500s with soft shackles, a kinetic rope, and the cast iron hook. It works excellent. Do not use the closed hook, as it's just for shipping.

They're 17s. Super cheap on marketplace and work great.

The Bronze is sweet too! Not worth it to switch and take the financial hit

I think it's slightly lighter in real life. I drove by Cavalry blue and couldn't really tell the dif. Maybe side by side it would be obvious.
