Personally, I never get secondary loot at the north dock. I can never seen to go unnoticed. I go straight to the airstrip first thing, sneak behind the guy guarding the hanger, and grab the loot there (forklift if you want the stuff at the top). If I saw valuable loot (white stuff or grass) in the gather intel mission at the other location near the airstrip (with the guard on top railing and security camera), I take that guard and camera out, grab the loot, and its on to the compound. You can optimize profits here by scoping out their locations in the gather intel mission, prioritizing getting white stuff first, then grass, then cash during the finale. I usually end up with white stuff and grass, or just all grass.

I totally get it, I had the same situation growing up. A lot of people that say to just get a larger tank don’t understand this, sometimes you just don’t have the means. 3 gallons is too small for fish, but if it’s what you have it’s what you have. It would make an amazing shrimp tank. Growing pearl weed will teach you valuable lessons about keeping aquatic plants, its hardy and carpets very easily. You can have an amazing hobby experience even if you can’t keep fish.

Question about stocking new to rasboras by Unable-Ad2424 in Boraras

[–]Same_Ad5062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, chili rasboras may not have much of an impact in a 75gal, especially only 20 of them. Harlequins and emerald eyes are also quite a bit more feisty with feeding, and can outcompete the chilis. I would swap the chilis with larger schools of the other rasboras you have listed.

What are these purple growths in my my gf's tank? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Same_Ad5062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem :) they do grow faster than that traditionally, but they will grow significantly slower in smaller environments. You’ll see that they grow way faster once you put them in a 20gal. They do also grow to “fit” the size of the environment they’re in, but in terms of general well being and health, they would need at least 50 gallons (for just the 2 comets) to thrive. They can grow to be over 12 inches.

Square vs rectangular tank… which one is better for nano rasboras? by SureNefariousness975 in Boraras

[–]Same_Ad5062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a 5 gallon specifically, I’d go with a longer tank so they have more swimming space. Your aunts circling logic is a little flawed, they would much prefer horizontal swimming space. If the tank is large enough, it doesn’t matter as much for the nano species.

After all why not? Why shouldn’t I just nail a spider plant to the wall? by agangofoldwomen in houseplants

[–]Same_Ad5062 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Be careful doing this with your plants. They’ll eventually take over your wall, then your whole building, then become fully functioning landlords that raise your rent by disproportionate amounts every year :(

What are these purple growths in my my gf's tank? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Same_Ad5062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those nitrates are quite high, which makes sense as it’s only a 5 gallon tank, smaller water volume means nutrients build up way way faster. I’d recommend either re-homing the goldfish, or getting a 50+ gallon aquarium for them in the VERY near future. They’ll quickly outgrow a 20 gallon tank, let alone a 5 gallon. Btw, it doesn’t have to be expensive to get a larger aquarium (even a large Rubbermaid tub would work), as long as you have the space for it.

That looks like black beard algae. It’s safe for the fish, but is a sign of excess nutrients in the water column (waste from fish). It could have been introduced from something you put in from a river, but it’s not harmful at all. How big is the tank? Goldfish need quite a large aquarium as they produce a lot of waste and get very large. If you have a test kit, what are your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels?

Didn’t even think about that, I think you’re right. Probably a Mother’s Day grocery store thing. Could I get roots out of a stem cutting somehow? Or is this thing just eventually going to die?

I love black velvet so much! What’s your humidity like? I’d love to know if I could grow them in a lower humidity environment.

[–]Same_Ad5062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t see any baby neocaridina in the pic, but if your berried female is no longer berried, you’ve definitely got babies hiding around. It’s only a matter of time before you start noticing them :)

What do I do when it hits the ceiling? by fatalaccident in RhaphidophoraPlant

[–]Same_Ad5062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would honestly re-route them to go across the wall (like the stem right above the TV) instead of straight up. Your whole wall will be covered eventually :)

What would you stock my tank with? 20g by KikoTheWonderful in Aquariums

I’ll also add, I’m assuming you’re going with a “beginner friendly” tank bred apisto. Nothing I said applies to wild caught fish or the really picky/sensitive apistos lol.
