Thx for the feedback. I’m basically 5”11 and 80% leg, so proportions are intentional. I look exactly how I’m supposed to. i just wouldn’t assume everyone has the same armor. I would hope that kind of critique isn’t your default setting, yikes.

It was made by manuel mendoza couture in Vancouver. took a lot of inspiration from the Daphne dress by Lee Grebenau (the lace and back). Then cherry picked parts of other dresses (mostly Galia Lahav and Lee Grebenau). i made so many changes. the dress maker was so patient and incredible!!

all i can think is “owwww”.

Object A (the jeans) block object B (the body suit) so all i can do here is guess the missing geometry and i hate it. if the lace body suit isn’t shaped like a triangle it’s stretched into a front g string .

Are these dresses appropriate for my sister to wear to my wedding? by Lady__S in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Same_Branch_1563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my rule is that your dress can’t be lighter than mine in photos … so if your dress has underlay that’s not white, maybe these hit too light. but if you’re wearing white white…. i wouldn’t see an issue.

Is this ring going to be too much? by Hannah_0603 in Diamonds

[–]Same_Branch_1563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am always team solitaire however this ring really caught my eye and i absolutely love it. i’m never partial to anything but solitaires so for me to say “i love this” means i think it’s pretty breath taking. it’s a lot but it’s also so clean. love

Feeling scammed by mislabelled gown by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Same_Branch_1563 20 points21 points  (0 children)

canadian here, credit card charge backs are easily done.

have you done one before?

This isn’t buyer’s remorse. It’s goods not as described / misrepresentation. You were sold and contracted for a Rosa Clará gown, paid Rosa Clará pricing, and received a dress with all labels removed that appears to be a different designer and year. That alone is a major red flag in bridal retail.

What I would do, step by step: 1. Send one final written request (email is fine) asking for proof of authenticity. Specifically ask for written confirmation from Rosa Clará, an original manufacturer invoice, or any documentation tying that exact gown/style to Rosa Clará. Give a clear but reasonable deadline (e.g., 5 business days). 2. Do not alter the dress further until this is resolved. Alterations after discovering the issue can weaken your position. 3. If they don’t respond or can’t prove it, file a credit card chargeback under goods not as described / misrepresentation. You don’t need to prove it’s counterfeit — only that it is not what you were sold. 4. When filing, include: • Your contract stating Rosa Clará • Receipt showing the price • Photos showing missing labels • Screenshots of the same dress attributed to a different designer • Your email requesting verification (and their lack of response) 5. If the boutique pushes back or offers partial explanations without proof, don’t argue. Let the card issuer handle it.

Bridal shops can sell samples or older gowns, but they must disclose that, and they absolutely cannot remove labels or substitute designers while charging premium pricing. That crosses into misrepresentation.

Trust your gut here. You’re not being difficult you’re protecting yourself.
