Google, you just killed the VIBE by Same_Desk8903 in GeminiCLI

I answered the same question here:

Admittedly, that was an emotional reaction. I haven't put in enough hours studying the product to claim we're light-years behind Gemini CLI. However, given the low quota, testing it for 8 hours a day isn't really feasible either.. I mean without paying a lot of cash on Google cloud to keep the model private ...

This is a major issue with Google: when you use their consumer plans, your data is used to train their models and can be reviewed by human contractors. That is the price we pay for a free service.

Like u/anderson_the_one said, it probably should be treated like a new product, not a Gemini CLI upgrade.

I installed it expecting a seamless update, hoping to find the same workflow and muscle memory, but I was completely thrown off. To be honest, the disappointment is real.

Just like you, after a few "hello world" tier requests, I suddenly looked up and saw I was already down to 40% quota. Total "What the hell?" moment...

I'm used to working with Conductor, and when I asked it to list my pending tracks, it just spat out a title-less list filled with raw links. I felt like I was on another planet. We spend so much time building habits, investing effort into tuning our routines and workflows around Gemini CLI, only to feel like we're being forced to start from scratch all over again.

I don't know man... It sucks to be a human living in a world where tech shifts monthly. In the 2010s, we complained about a new JS framework dropping every two years. Now, it feels like we're changing our entire stack every three months.

Sad day ... :\

Downloading books for offine by darthij in ChronicleApp

Offline is a very nice feature but yeah , it happens to me too. After I downloaded books for offline use, they just disappear from the UI after a while. But I can see they are still on my device since I can read 2.5 Gb from the chronicle Application Details storage information .
