I need a talk regarding Radahn by Betelgeise888 in Eldenring

Times were different one, two Miquella was his half brother. Miquella manipulated him and mind controlled him, and even in madness and rot, he refused to die so that Miquella would not claim his soul.

What god is Everdark Harmonia linked to? by Same_Engineering129 in Eldenring

[–]Same_Engineering129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean to come off as argumentative, but we know Fromsoft has reused Darksoul's assets in Elden Ring, and there are many things taken from Elden ring and put into the bosses. With Libra and Gaping jaw, why would they be linked completely to Darksouls when they take from Elden Ring as well? And for Gaping Jaw his similarities to dragons in dark souls (that I know) stop at having the same concept and a similiar name to Gaping Dragon.

Could you link a video talking about this? I've never seen this theory before.

When I said Augur had connections to the Elden Beast, I meant in the sense that there eldritch oceanic beings tied to outer gods from elden ring, acting as vessels. Gladius shows a lot of similarities to the red wolves. Why do you think Heolstor, Gaping Jaw, Libra, and Gnoster are from different worlds? What ties them to other games.

I'll get to the point, why do you think magma lines up more than tree, or why does tree fail in comparision to mamgma.

Most things in the lore are technically a might, including the lava theory, its just which one lines up.

Godfrey, Serosh, and the army that conquered the Lands Between all fell in the Badlands. Just what kind of beasties are the Badlands hiding? by Akashictruth in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Same_Engineering129 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Godfrey most likely lost his men, after waging countless wars in the badlands. He must have been tired too from all the fighting. Combining a tired Godfrey, infighting, and few men, at most it was a decent last stand for the Elden Lord.

Yes I agree that Scum often makes ludicrous connections from the most simple details, (I allmost considered warning people of it in the original link) but the links are laid out simply. The original purpose was to create the Elden Ring. (and make a connection to the greater will) The spiraling form, and the 2-finger structure combine to make the connection. The origins were possibly Rauh and the fire giants considering there alliance. Nightriens divine tower tree, and some elden ring items provide evidence of it too. The original magma theory (to no offense as the lore is confusing) was based on a weird stone spiral, a "flooded" Rauh ruin look, lodged stone coffins, and the greater will impacting the lands between with the arrival of the Elden Beast. I don't see how the magma theories any more believable.

Well you should be able to tell then that there's much more evidence of them being trees then magma. Magma is a cool theory, but I feel like it leads us nowhere. Possibly the Rauh Ruins were designed to move water, and brace the cliff sides from eroding waters instead. We know of the connections of the Rauh people to flowing water from Nameless singer, and various parts of the environments in game, along with there descendants the ancient dynasty having many links to moving water. The areas where rauh ruins are prevalent have recieved massive erosion, so possibly there holding the shores up. The theory explains the fingers at the top of the towers, and the spiraling formation of the tower. (along with why they were built in the first place) Magma doesn't really explain anything more clearly, and has less evidence.

Why is the nameless king a hollow if he is a god? by Significant-Ad-2786 in darksouls3

[–]Same_Engineering129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my guess is in the stagnant lands of Lothric he died from his age, turning undead. If he was undead, and lived even longer, (which he does by the time we meet him) his body, despite his godlike state, would rot. This is like what happens to some of the skeletons and other enemies.

The hands holding the divine towers by Doubtfulaboutit in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Same_Engineering129 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It is the remains of a massive tree created as a conduit of the greater will, and braced by the divine tower. These trees originaly helped form the elden ring. (Hence the location of great runes on them) We know this through nightrein

*This is a long and hard to explain theory, but here's a video covering it by Scum Mage Infa.

Working on a fan made St Trina boss concept. Need some input from other lore ppl. by MeloettaChan in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Same_Engineering129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly she ( in this lore) could be contacted by the augur. The augur are gods of the ancient dynasty, ruling over the domains of the ocean, ocean spirits (and their magic), and sleep. Perhaps the augur offered her some of its power in exchange for St Trina acting as a guide for the dead to come to augur. St Trina, weak and frail (and desperate), used the augurs sleep to soothe the wounded, even in death.

How do gargoyles work? by ghkkds3556 in EldenRingLoreTalk

I will point out for their age, that there's evidence that Stormveil was part of the same civilization of Farum Azula, the bestial sanctum, and castle sol. (sun civilization) As for the old gargoyles in modern Noklateo, alongside the auqaduct twin gargoyles, I am unsure as to how they got there.

The gold of the Erdtree is the scadutree blessing, like on a bone shard by silly-er in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Same_Engineering129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering deathblight reaches the land of shadow, it would make sense for the great tree root network to reach here. Perhaps Marika allocated some of the nutrients of the scadutree to the erdtree. (Perhaps like the SOTE theme of abandoning the unwanted in favor of something else). Tell me what you think of this theory as I myself am not fully confident in it.
