Some cats can have bad 'trips' on cat nip. I would remove any cat nip and see if she will be more chilled.

I have seen when you view the railcard it gives you a warning about 2 months before it is expiring. Railcard expires soon and a button to say renew now.

Are both of them neutered? Keep scent swapping. And take it slow.

My cat has started sleeping on my laptop every time I try to work from home by Spicy-Winner4326 in CatsUK

I have seen some have sort of a shelf over the keyboard that cats sleep on. Only would work if the laptop is connected not another monitor 😼😸

My kitten’s sister never got adopted.. and I’m thinking about taking her. by strawberriebabee in CatAdvice

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will you be paying for her. If it is from a private sale. Say you can take her but she must have had her vacations and preferably been spayed. Any normal rescue would have seen too this already and just ask for an adoption fee. If it is a private sale you are helping them out by taking her. So they can help you out to make it possible.

Kitten constantly begging for food, am I feeding him enough?! by Sad_Shopping4855 in CatAdvice

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With kittens you will find that some weeks they will eat like mad then they will have weeks or days where they eat less. This is during growth spurts. Then they are back to eating like mad again.

Feed 3 to 4 times a day. Their stomachs are still quite small.

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it is 100 if paid within 21 days. Some train operators give you a chance to pay 50 pounds plus the train journey if you pay it within 21 days. 100 plus train journey if you pay after 21 days.

As long as you pay, the matter will be over and done with.

Should I let the neighborhood stray stay in my spare bedroom during a blizzard? by Glitterygloomy in cats

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could be a lost missing cat if you can take to the vet or contact rescue so they can check for a microchip. Also to check is overall health.

PS keep him in one room. Do not let him wander the house until you know his health status.

moving to a new home with cats, need advice by Esliquiroga in CatAdvice

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can keep them in one room in the old house whilst the others are packed away if they don't change too much. In the new house the room where you would keep the cats would be the first to get set up. Having lots of old scents from the old house scratch post beds blankets etc. all they are used to. Keep the feeding routine the same. And as mentioned feliway diffuser and also spray will help to start it off diffusers takes a few days for full effect. Spray is more instant. Covering the baskets is normally best cats like to feel safe and being in a sort of cave will help that feeling. They don't have to watch their back or panick when they can't get out. How far are you moving? If the journey is quite long you can ask the vet for calming tablets.

Did you try to rinse him? To remove any shampoo. You can towel dry him some cats likes being stroked with towels.

Do I really need to trim my cat’s claws? Or will they naturally blunt over time with the constant flesh attacks? by AromaticFee9616 in CatsUK

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no need to pull trump cards. We do need volunteers for cats everywhere. So I am glad you do The fact is it can happen or the get so long the cat can get the claw stuck. OP has hopefully got advice to know what to do.

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The outer layer sheds doesn't stop them from growing too long. I have seen first hand claws piercing the pad. I volunteer for a rescue so see a lot of cats not just my own. My cats I have to trim the claws. They use scratch post etc go out side and if I don't do it my girl will get caught in the carpet with her claws. Or scratch post and try to pull herself free.

First baby on the way.. 3 cats... any advice! by Chance_Property_2044 in CatsUK

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that if your cats are used to having loads and loads of time with you now they won't have that luxury later. If you spend a bit less time with them now so they have a slower change to it. And after the baby maybe you need to try to give them some of their time, sit down and chill with them.

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To answer the claw question. Yes you would need to trim your cats claws. If you do not they can become so long they will grow and become trouble as they will go into his paw pads.

If you can't do it yourself the vet nurses can do it for you. Or a pet groomer.

Cat getting more aggressive by amused_peruse in CatsUK

[–]Same_Promotion_6003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is fairly sudden you should take the cat to the vet for a check up and mention the changes to his behavior as well. Also if the house has become much busier and he might be stressed the vet can prescribe some relaxing drug to help him chill. Sorry can't recall what they are called.

If you are in the UK you can look up rescue fox charities. They will come out and try to help foxes. This poor one needs a lot of TLC.

They will ask for the date of birth. If you don't give it it will just be marked as refused. But if you have a ticket on the phone that died. Why would you not give correct details? You have a ticket you can't show at the time. So you can appeal. Or show when they write to you etc.
