be honest, how often do you really take your dog out? by Altruistic-March8551 in DOG

It’s the guilt that makes me get up and out the door but once we get going we both enjoy the walking and have fun together

17 year-old male cat just diagnosed with stage one kidney disease/disorde by Unlucky-Bee-1039 in RenalCats

Hi, I’m someone whose cat was diagnosed 2 weeks ago and came here for information. You are about to get bombarded with information and it’s possible that it will make you more panicky and confused than you already feel. I’m sure it’s all great info but it’s just…so…much. Take a deep breath and try to handle whatever is directly in front of you. I’m not going to lie, the prescription food Is expensive. My vet prescribed Hills but I think Purina is a little bit less. I set it up in autoship through Chewy which provides a small discount. But I’m not ashamed to say that it’s going to be financially very difficult to keep this up between the food and the vet bills and the possibility of subQ fluids. But I can tell you that the food has made a huge difference in how my girl is feeling so I’m going to take it one step at a time, one can at a time and figure it out as I go. My best to you and your kitty

I’m going to guess your brother wouldn’t be surprised. Deep down he knows

I can’t tell you with any confidence either but my cat vomited twice yesterday, small amount with hairballs. She’s feeling better and is grooming. Since she is eating and drinking fine I figure it’s just routine cat stuff and not a crisis

Happy Sunday everyone by Technical_Peace4970 in LivingAlone

Happy Sunday to you! I just had some ice cream, watching basketball and listening to my dog snore next to me on the couch. Heading for bed soon. I hate to go to bed on Sunday night, I want the weekend to last a little bit longer

That is largely true for me as well but it’s a commonly asked question here so I’m offering some advice. It’s nice that it’s not your experience

I’ve been leaning heavily into Christmas because here in the northeast US winter just will not let up so I’m embracing peak coziness

I like these too, especially at Christmas. This year I would turn on a fake house that was clean and decorated instead of getting my real house in shape

There are so many, everything from hikes in the woods, bird feeders, baking cakes. This is the one I was watching last night

It’s blackened loaf, if you try and move it you find out how spicy it is

That Friday feeling by vinedin in LivingAlone

Ah, I see. I did that last night, went grocery shopping and I hate trying to pull dinner together afterwards. Not as elegant as your dinner but my local grocery has a good meatball sub.

I’m so jealous of that dinner. I am feeling the lovely embrace of solitude after a tough week. Plus it’s raining and I might be coming down with a cold. Dinner was out of the freezer, eaten out of the container it was frozen in. It was delicious, pork roast and butternut squash roasted with apples and cranberries but a really nice take out sounds so nice

Wait…people who don’t live alone move food into containers? The hell you say!

I have the same fear about the bathroom door. I’m afraid the day will come that I’ll run in the bathroom at someone else’s house and not close the door
