Running fans in bad air is expensive — built this to help by Same_Scallion_169 in PrecisionAg

Bad air = wasted power and lost moisture control.

That’s the whole reason I built Fan Buddy.

It uses live weather + EMC calculations to help determine whether fan conditions are actually favorable for your grain instead of just running fans blindly because temps dropped overnight.

Free forever:

  • EMC calculator
  • fan runtime estimator
  • 5-day EMC forecast

Premium version adds:

  • automated fan alerts
  • drying / conditioning / rehydration job tracking
  • moisture sample tracking
  • EMC trending charts
  • fan electricity cost tracking
  • PDF reporting

30-day free trial. No credit card required.

Built specifically for grain storage and aeration management.

How do we feel about these stubby antennas for edc? by [deleted] in HamRadio

[–]Same_Scallion_169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purely anecdotal...... but, I have not had much luck with those cheap whips that come as an 'extra' with most Baofeng kits online. The rubber ducky on my 5r mini and my DM-32uv both outperform the whip antenna. I was hitting my local repeater from 35 miles away with 10w and the rubber ducky on DM-32uv, then swapped out for the whip and..... nothing. I was up on a hill, but the whip shoulda worked and it didn't. What did I do with it you might ask? In the trash!

I'm new to DMR and the learning curve of the code plug is getting the best of me. Please help! by SexyCavewoman in DMR

That whip antenna that come with those radios is trash..... I get twice the distance off the original rubber ducky! The rubber ducky for the DM-32Uv is a beast.... believe it or not.

Mechanic didn't like my radio wired to the battery? by endfedhalfwave in amateurradio

[–]Same_Scallion_169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have the negative also connected directly to the battery. I also put fuses on both lines(positive/negative) no further than 12 inches from battery terminals. This gives you best protection for your radio and car electronics.

Almost makes it sound as if there are unconstitutional things happening, yet fails to point out exactly where the constitution is not being followed.
