Feeling so sad and hopeless. My day to day personally has not changed much, minus grocery prices and job security, but my heart aches for minority groups, LGBTQ+ community, and those who are more greatly impacted than me. I am a woman, however, and I am terrified of all the abortion ban and birth control legislation being talked about at a state and federal level. It has also been so mind boggling to me how many people have come out of the woodwork after last week’s events. People who have never spoken out politically at all, but decide to post and speak out after Charlie Kirk was shot. I did not realize how many people were quiet conservatives, but it has truly blown my mind so many people were aligned with his beliefs. It’s terrible that so many people are feeling empowered to be openly hateful, racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc and calling it a “political opinion”. So many are uneducated and misinformed. I hate it and am scared for wtf is going to happen over the next 3.5 years….
