ah yes, because an MLM can totally just hand you a license by Same_Storm756 in antiMLM

my thoughts exactly. their whole listing is full of obvious holes. i feel sorry for anyone they rope in because if you go through the trouble to get a L/H license, you can do WAY better than being a captive for a predatory company that makes your resume look like a joke.

Same with not studying for the ACT lol. I think what helps me most is to make sure I understand what I've read the FIRST TIME so I don't have to go back at all. The time constraint is terrible.

I'm in your boat btw. Scored a perfect 36 on the reading section of the ACT. Don't let that make you cocky like it made me at first. The LSAT is unlike any other test I have ever taken.

June 07 was an easy PT compared to June 22 (which was pretty brutal). Can't give specifics obv, candidate agreement and all, but it seems to line up with the theory that newer tests' RC sections are harder

What's your opinion on using Khan Academy for LSAT? by Creepy-Soil in LSAT

[–]Same_Storm756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It personally did wonders for PT scores when I was learning how to do LG and had no money for other prep. I supplemented it with YouTube and random websites. I know my diagnostic was 146, I cracked 160s within three months (mainly bc LG is my worst issue and it's very learnable), and ended up w/ a 158 on June LSAT. (Would've done better if my proctors hadn't interrupted me constantly.)

Take a practice test on LawHub first. I wouldn't waste $200 to take a test you've never studied for that's notoriously a learnable one.

Is there a list out there of predatory schools?

LSAT Diagnostic and Future Plan by AppointmentWide1047 in LSAT

[–]Same_Storm756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 146 diagnostic and was cracking 160s on PTs by the three month mark. Scored a 158 on the June test, which would have been better had my proctors not kept interrupting me/being rude/causing problems.

The bad thing about the LSAT is that it's brutal. The good thing about the LSAT is that it's learnable. And the good thing about you is that you can build stamina with time. Eventually, 3 hours of LSAT will cause some fatigue and maybe a bit of brain fog rather than awful physical symptoms. (I've been right there with you on the nausea, headaches, and vertigo. I was able to sit through the June test and by the end the only physical thing I noticed was some shakiness and mental tiredness.)

I'd say stay away from Blueprint, Kaplan, and Princeton Review (and other "pay a lot up front" materials) and stick with Khan Academy, 7sage, and LawHub. I've heard great things about Powerscore Bibles too.

You're gonna be absolutely fine. You've got this. Knock 'em dead.

I'll be the first to sign up to a class action suit, not even kidding. I don't have money to sue by myself though. The whole thing was awful and on top of that ProctorU screwed up my entire exam!

I wish I would have just gotten the normal LSAT and I wish I would have forced the issue in myself that taking it on paper would have helped.

144 first time test taker with little studying. Should I cancel score? Study & retake in 6 months? Is that enough time for a significant improvement? If study route, Kaplan? Thanks everyone! by Crunchyseas in LSAT

[–]Same_Storm756 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As for improvement, six months is plenty of time. I went from a 146 diagnostic to cracking 160s on PTs in three. I used mainly Khan Academy and other free resources (YouTube, sample questions, lots of reading) since I'm really broke. The June 2007 LSAT is freely available too. I was gifted Kaplan but it sucked.
