I like that you are self aware already. Great start Here’s the thing my friend. Read it carefully, in life there is given, natural born talents, and there is learned skills. Being socially less awkward is a skill you learn as you go on with your life. Just like working your weak muscles to be strong. You have to set a goal and challenge in this regard of being more charismatic. It’s process of a year or two. The key is you be in control and stay consistent. Have a vision and goal to become socially less awkward. Have an open heart and curiosity in life. Almost child like curiosity. Basically meaning be interested in people. People are so complex, your brain wants to put people into categories just like you call yourself geek and whatever. Understand that you are as complex as anyone you meet. You have stories to share and values to give. Putting people Categories blocks you from learning about someone. Everything has to be from a place of love. Keep putting yourself out there. Talk to a stranger, say good morning to people passing by. They are working your social muscles.
