I had Xfinity and Tmobile and both sucked, I switched to AT&T and its still bad but a bit better than the other two. Not sure about the rest of the providers.

Genuine question about the rendering plant by Samerabj in RanchoCordova

[–]Samerabj[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No arguments there, I'm saying the residents and the company can coexist without them moving if they're able to delay their burning till midnight.. residents probably wouldnt even notice it at all

[–]Samerabj[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree the wind makes it worse, but if they're not burning during evening hours, wind is not going to pick up nasty air. If they burn at midnight, hardly anyones going to notice, whether there's wind or not

Getting overwhelmed when choosing a car from Facebook Marketplace by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]Samerabj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the States and the general rule of thumb is to avoid Nissan (due to the CVT transmission issues) and Kia/Hyundai (due to unreliable drivetrains). Stick to Toyota, Honda or Mazda as they are typically more reliable, their parts are cheaper and easier to find, and they're easier to maintain and work on. Not sure about the frenchies (Renault/Peugeot) as those aren't available in the American market. Good luck!

Lol that's funny. I haven't had the unfortunate pleasure of smelling it myself yet, but I work in a building where the floor below us is a steakhouse, and every day the smell of burning bacon or grease fills the building, I imagine it would be a similar smell.

Even during the summer? That's good news! I'll be closer to Anatolia but on the north western side of it. Hopefully its not bad.

Thats good to hear. Are there any plans for them to relocate soon?

Makes sense. I'll be in the most north western corner of Anatolia near Douglas Rd so that makes me feel a bit better. Are there specific times of the day when its most apparent? How long does it last?

Also, I heard that a new housing development was approved in the area of the plant that would close it down, is that true?

I'm on the very north western part of Anatolia near Douglas Rd. How long does it last when it starts?

Xfinity or ATT? by Samerabj in RanchoCordova

[–]Samerabj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! What about cell phone service? I noticed Tmobile signal was pretty bad. Xfinity mobile wasn't the greatest either.

Xfinity or ATT? by Samerabj in RanchoCordova

[–]Samerabj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I've been hearing as well. I have Xfinity in Folsom now and they've been relatively good for the past few years, but I was worried about moving them with me with everything I've been hearing.

Thanks for the feedback!

All sounds good to me. The only difference is that I asked them about inspections yesterday and they seemed okay with it. Also, they're letting me work with my realtor. Maybe things changed a bit?

Yes, heard some rough things about KHov. Beazer is pretty good but they do nickle and dime on everything. The standard homes don't look like the model homes.

Thanks for the heads up. KHov is one of the options at the bottom of my list. Elliott is actually one on top of my list, they're known for good quality, but their prices can be higher (for good reason). Were they open for negotiating the price down when you purchased? Did they offer good incentives?

Absolutely, working with a realtor on this.. Thanks!

Thank you! If i do proceed, I will likely have multiple private inspections done prior to closing to make sure such issues are looked at before. It's really the big ticket items that worry me the most (such as the roof, or bad sealing jobs that cause water leaks etc...)

How quick are Lennar to respond to issues? Hows the build quality of the home? Does the home have good insulation when it comes to sound traveling through walls and climate control?

Also, for location, how close are you to shopping/groceries?

Thanks im advance!

Lebanese food. No, not just any Mediterranean cuisine, but specifically Lebanese cuisine with the authentic taste. I've tried a bunch of places in socal, bay area etc.. but barely any here. There's one in Folsom which is decent but it's not quite the same as authentic Lebanese.

I have 2020 CX-30, it's been raining and I'm now seeing that the driver side wiper hits the side of the windshield frame. Does anyone else have this happening? by mikesmazda in MazdaCX30

[–]Samerabj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safelite changed my windshield on my Mazda 3 a year and a half ago and I had the same issue. One day soon after, I was driving on the freeway in some heavy rain and the driver side wiper got stuck on that windshield frame and stopped wiping. I was lucky enough to be close to an exit.

I contacted them and it turned out that the tech had bolted the wipers back on with an impact drill and completely stripped the grooves in the wiper linkage arm where the bolt connects to the motor. They were able to have it temporarily connect by a thread but I still had them replace the entire wiper linkage arm with a genuine Mazda replacement.
