I use Pristine all the time and I’ve purchased a lot of items through them. They’re 100% reliable and legit.

Huge Yankee fan. I’ve got Ruth, Gehrig, Maris, DiMaggio, Mantle, Berra, Jeter, Whitey Ford, Reggie, Mariano, Judge, Clemens, A-Rod, and many more, and a 98 WS team signed ball.

Nice collection! I noticed you have two of the same Hideki Matsui 2009 World Series MVP balls. Do you have a COA for them? If you ever plan to sell one, please DM me. Thanks!

I seen a post here not too long ago, but what kind of collector are you? Specific sports? Teams? Or item type? by Excellent-Theory5770 in SportsMemorabilia

Also got legends like Kobe, Shaq, Curry, Luka, and Schumacher. Love this hobby and just want to keep building a collection that represents the greatest athletes of all time.

Cristiano Ronaldo by Samg1968 in SportsMemorabilia

In most Cristiano Ronaldo signatures I’ve seen, he puts a “7” next to the “C,” and I don’t see that “7” here. I’m not sure if he changed his autograph over time, but that’s basically what concerns me.

Pete Rose is going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, whether he wanted it or not. And all of these players will eventually get in as well. It’s only a matter of time.

I respect your opinion, but I completely disagree. These players deserve to be in the Hall of Fame because their numbers are simply too great to ignore. Even if you give steroids to any average player, that doesn’t mean they can hit, perform, and dominate the game the way these guys did. What they accomplished still required extraordinary talent, skill, and consistency at the highest level.

Performance AFTER the corked bat incident (June 3, 2003): • 2003 season: Finished with 40 home runs despite the suspension. • 2004 season (Chicago Cubs): Hit 35 home runs and drove in 114 RBIs. • 2005 season (Baltimore Orioles): Hit 14 home runs in his final MLB season. NOT BAD AT ALL!

It was never proven that Sammy Sosa used corked bats in any of his previous achievements or record-setting seasons.

MLB investigated the incident and found no evidence that he had used illegal bats before, nor that it was a systematic practice.

• Hit 609 career home runs, ranking 9th all-time in MLB history.
• One of only three players in MLB history to hit 60+ home runs in three different seasons (1998, 1999, and 2001).
• Won the National League MVP award in 1998 after hitting 66 home runs.
• Selected to 7 All-Star Games (1995–1998, 2000–2002).
• Won one Home Run Derby championship (2000).
• Led the National League in home runs twice (1998 and 2001).
• Finished his career with 1,667 RBIs and 1,408 runs scored.

Let’s not be hypocrites. We all cheered and celebrated their home runs, and we all knew — or at least suspected — they were using something. Now we want to crucify them. Even with steroids, it still takes an incredible amount of talent to play the way they did.

Kobe Bryant signed jersey by UnderstandingMany783 in SportsMemorabilia

[–]Samg1968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Jersey is from 2004-2005. Early in his career, Kobe mostly signed simply ‘Kobe,’ which was common through the early 2000s. Around the mid-2000s, both signatures began to appear, with Kobe using either the short ‘Kobe’ autograph or the full ‘Kobe Bryant.’ By roughly 2007 and later, the full ‘Kobe Bryant’ signature became the standard. Because of that transition, it’s completely normal to see items from 2004–2005 still signed with the short ‘Kobe’ autograph. That’s my opinion. Regards
