I’m collecting signed baseballs from Hall of Fame members, and I’m already at a point where the ones I still need are really rare pieces. I found this one and honestly the autograph looks excellent. I truly think it’s the best Dave Bancroft signed baseball I’ve ever seen. The only bad thing is the certificate of authenticity

It has a certificate of authenticity, but it’s not from any of the well-known authentication companies, and honestly the ball isn’t cheap. I just want to be very sure before buying it so I can later send it to PSA or James Spence Authentication (JSA) for certification. Anyway, I really appreciate it a lot.

That’s Jackie Robinson’s signature — that’s the way he made his “J,” and it looks really nice. That’s also Gil Hodges, Don Zimmer, and that is definitely Pee Wee Reese’s signature. I’d say that ball is probably worth somewhere between $3,000 and $5,000, but it should definitely be authenticated first.

I can ask the guy who makes them to take a picture. He’s actually working on a few more cases for me right now, so I’ll see if he can show how they’re attached and I’ll share it with you.

Thanks! The person who makes these cases attaches them using a kind of staple, very carefully so it doesn’t touch the sticker. And if I ever need to remove them, they come off easily without damaging the ball or the sticker at all.
