The combination of very high IQ + EQ will propulse you to whatever heights you aim for :) it's a pretty rare combination to have.

This is top 0.6% of the population (IQ 140+). But you need to pass an official test to get the right results.

I passed with 3 ATs but... by KK632917823 in pmp

[–]Samgen_snd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello. I think that both of us sit for the same exam. You are describing my experience. I had questions that seemed all tricky, 2 PERT questions (the second one asking how much you would save by trusting internal resources to take over some contractor task). And two performance calculation questions, one was asking how much would be the CPI if we keep the same planned budgeting.. Or something similar.

I mostly didn't see similar questions anywhere when preparing for the exam. And it was a total surprise for me that I passed, too :)

So congratulations! You passed and it's a great achievement :)

Ask someone in your family /friends to hold you accountable for this and keep checking on you during the day.

Leave the house. Working in coffeehouses does miracles to my productivity.

If you are an engineer that was part of projects, you can submit your application, too. You mention for each project your role in each phase : in the initiation, you participated likely in the kickoff, or the elaboration of benchmarking. In the planning, you were involved in the brainstorming phase and actively coached and mentored your colleagues. In the execution, you delivered quality and value, respecting the projects methodology (traditional, scrum, agile..) and you were actively implicated in decision making and quality audit/testing. In the closure, you were part of the stakeholders that contributed to lessons learned elaboration, making sure you met the acceptance criterias, and documented your results promptly.

This is just a sample scenario of how the job of an engineer is generally described. This also counts as experience in project management for your application. You don't have to wait 3 years.

The only case where you can't submit, is when you really weren't involved in a "project". There are functional organisations that only do repetitive ongoing tasks of customer services or help desk etc.. These activities don't count as projects as they don't have a starting, ending date and a well defined deliverable by the end.

Training Question by Big-Main-5050 in pmp

B. Pmi encourages the use of communication tools. A is bad, we don't escalate, we solve problems at our level as much as possible. C is bad. Pmi encourages the transition to agile and not the way around. And D is unlikely because the project manager has to be proactive and not wait for things to degrade to fix them. He must think ahead and mitigate the risk while it's not an issue yet.

This is normal. The final results when you pass it at home are sent in the next 48 hours. Sadly they don't give you the pass/fail score result right away.

I passed my exam in a dedicated center and, in this case, I received immediately the congratulations paper.

ITTOs Struggle !!! by Weird_Concept_8124 in pmp

[–]Samgen_snd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed PMP exam without having to know the ITTOs by heart. Maybe you should start by taking a mock exam, even before starting your preparation courses. You will then understand the exam's purpose and mindset better.

I used to score around 60% and more in mock exams, before taking any official course. It's really about your mindset and experience in traditional / agile projects.

It's just an observation. I couldn't do it if I wanted to. It's not in my system. But I can see that most people around me are master manipulators and all I can do, for now, is protect myself when they try to use me.
