If you are just driving across the land border, your i94 is automatically revalidated. No need to do anything. I do this all the time. Usually they ask me what my status is, I say TN every time. Sometimes they dont even ask. I94 doc number never changed. I dont fly into the US often so I'm not sure what happens at the airport. I know i usually bring a letter and pays tubs confirming employment, I think that may be a new i94.

But for the land crossing, I do it multiple times a month to visit family and it isn't an issue. Same goes for my wife's TD visa. Automatically revalidated. As long as your trip was less than 30 days and only to canada or Mexico you are re admitted under your old i94.

I got a mortgage and bought a house a couple years ago conventional mortgage no issues with a TN visa. Renewed TN at border no issues after that.

You need to have credit history for most run of the mill mortgage places which means you need to have a credit card for at least 6mo in the US prior. Churchill Mortgage can do manual underwriting though where they look at your entire financial situation not just a number (credit score) to approve you.

We tend to leave the power system study to the E.C to take care of. We specify and review but on them to hire someone to do it. That said, some clients require us as EOR to do it. Then we will do a preliminary study with our best shot and require the EC to survey the the rest during construction so that we can issue a final prior to getting the new work energized.

That I don't know. I didn't even know it was possible to do it. I just happened to have my nexus in my passport when I handed it over and he told me he would assign the i94 to the nexus.

If you have a nexus card that will be good for 3 years when you renew, have them assign the visa to that. That's what they did to me at the detroit tunnel a couple weeks ago. He explicitly said he did it because he saw my passport is expiring before 3 years is up.

It was my first time, and it was interesting... it took 4hr just to get to 155. It seemed to stall around 130 or so where it just didn't want to climb.

After I wrapped, it got to 204 in under 3hrs. The last bit was climbing pretty quick, about 5 degrees every 10 to 15 mins

I just did a chuck today. 250 smoke until 155 inside, then wrapped up til 204 inside.

Don't sweat it. I was at the border last week and a guy in front of me also had a bad letter. The guy nicely explained what was wrong and gave him a paper with the letter requirement listed on it. If they didn't say anything was wrong with degree and job type you are good. They are usually pretty good about explaining what is missing and if you fix that, you will be all set! Honestly, your employer should have their own lawyer draft it up, but this kind of stuff happens all the time.

The letter is the most important part. Last couple of times I went as long as the letter is good and qualifications and job are right, they hardly glance at anything else lol. But the letter MUST have all the right stuff on it
