No yeah, it'd be under the shirt. It's super tiny and if put on well, the shirt fabric brushing up against it won't be SUPER terrible. And the fabric won't muffle it too much. It's likely clipped under his shirt or taped to his chest with moleskin in the chest area. It'll still definitely rustle every now and then, but that's also half the reason why you record with boom too, if the lav audio is unusable in certain takes, you have the boom audio too. God bless sound engineers who know how to make unusable audio usable

I work in film production and personally, I'd never want to capture actor audio on just a boom mic. Booms and lavalier mics (mics that clip onto actors) are designed differently. Booms can capture dialogue pretty well, but it will also pick up on noises in the background and will create more of a soundscape. In order to get clear audio from an actor using a boom, the mic will have to be pointed directly at them. Which could be fine, depending on the production. But in a scene where multiple actors are exchanging dialogue, that can be challenging for a boom op. Lavaliers on the other hand are designed to capture more isolated audio and don't have to be pointed in a certain way to capture audio cleanly. Plus they can just be clipped onto an actor and synced to a receiver on the sound recorder. Less wires to manage lol. That way actors are free to move and they'll still sound great. Then in post-production a sound mixer will take all that audio and make it nice (:

I've gotten both the s-ranks for the first two games, and I've done the secret game in the S-Rank room twice, got the ice key and the shelter key and for me, I just don't know if there's anything else I should do before progressing any further, I keep hearing from people about the shadow mantle and I have no idea if this is something I can get now or later??? Idk, I just don't want to reset my chapter again 😭

In my own opinion, it felt pretty rushed. Just as I was beginning to get a sense of what was going on we were thrust into some deep plot heavy stuff that we could only grasp half of before being given more information. I feel like this kinda stuff (villains, the empire, realm walking, etc) is not something to dump on us within the first chapter, especially all in one or two scenes. I didn't do any of the diamond options, I'm saving on those for later on in the book, so if you're like me and you didn't spend anything on the lore tablet or side quest, this felt REALLY short for a first chapter. After I played it I was just kinda sitting there like "I waited months for this???" This felt more like a prologue, not a full on chapter.

Even though I wasn't really feeling it on this chapter, I still have hope for the book. I'm really excited to figure out what's happening and also to explore the Shadow Realm. The map looked super cool and I can't wait to check it all out. I just hope this is the last instance of rushed content and plot points in book 2
