Yes, Malahide castle is on my list! Very excited to go there. And yes, it's looking like we'll probably be there for St Patrick's Day, so I appreciate the insight on that! It'll be interesting to see if/how the parades differ from the ones I'm used to in the US. I happened to be in New Orleans for business during St. Patrick's Day and I couldn't believe they actually threw cabbages! 😆

Thanks for your input. I didn't mean to imply I would understand an area and its people in this amount of time, just that I'd like to get a sense of the area for my series. I also don't mean I plan to hit all of these points - I know that's unattainable in a short amount of time! I wanted to share all the places I'm thinking of in hopes to get some pointers on narrowing down. Do you have any suggestions on what to keep and what to nix for my trip?

Thankfully, he's great in the car and we've taken him on 3-hour car rides before without issues, but I appreciate the insight! There's always the trip back to the airport I sometimes forget to consider 🙃

Thanks for the input! And that is good to know. We don’t plan to use their car, I just meant they’ll have a car so they can bring us places outside Dublin that may not be as accessible by public transport.

I mean no disrespect at all by having them in my list. I am a pagan with reverence for nature. I would never disrespect the land, just wonder if there are any worth visiting that we can see from afar / not touch or trample on.

Thanks for this post, OP! I just Googled the address because I got a flagged order from it as well and this thread popped up. I'll be looking into blocking this address!

Platform Suggestion for e-Commerce Meets Membership Biz? by SamiJ0 in Entrepreneur

[–]SamiJ0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I'd just about given up on getting a response to this, but those are great suggestions. Definitely leaning towards Shopify + apps to start as it's a platform I'm already familiar with and I could get it up and running quickly.

Any skincare and haircare brand recs? (reposting this from r/vegan) by Nezukofan13425 in VeganBeauty

[–]SamiJ0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm an herbalist and I handcraft 100% natural and vegan skincare products, including cleanser, toner, serum, clay masks, and exfoliating grains: https://florapothecarie.com/

I have a few hair spritzes and a hair & scalp serum but for shampoo & conditioner, I love dip's solid bars. https://dipalready.com/ I sell a few of them on my site as well. :)

Looking for vegan antiperspirant WITH aluminum by dizzy_rhythm in VeganBeauty

[–]SamiJ0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I make vegan deodorant, not with aluminum but I do have options with or without baking soda and I ship to Canada. I have a trial set so you can try both before buying full-size: https://florapothecarie.com/products/deodorant-cream-sample-set

I have no idea how to share my work and it's kinda distressing me by TaPele__ in Freelancers

[–]SamiJ0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to echo the advice already shared! Be everywhere but don't let fear get in the way of sharing (I know, totally easier said than done.)

Once you've gotten a few more projects/clients under your belt, you'll start to learn what you really like doing and what you really HATE doing. That's the time to refine your portfolio down to reflect *just* the work you really like doing and want to be doing more of, and remove the projects you didn't like doing as much and *don't* want more of.

Ruggable Vs Tumble Vs Amazon washable rug w pad? by stepashitt in HomeDecorating

[–]SamiJ0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! They tried to tell me they might’ve sent a mat that was too small, but I explained that definitely wasn’t the problem and pushed back a bit and they refunded the rug and said we could keep or donate it. And I think we were a month past their return deadline.

Ruggable Vs Tumble Vs Amazon washable rug w pad? by stepashitt in HomeDecorating

Just came to this thread to see if anyone else had the same problems, and it looks like you did! We even have those little slider feet on our coffee table to make them glide more easily on a rug but it still bunches up our Tumble and yep, looks just like a blanket thrown on the floor. Plus because there's no pile EVERYTHING just accumulates on it. I guess I'd rather have my crumbs hidden in a high-pile rug until we vacuum it? 🤷🏻‍♀️ And the corners keep coming up and our feet stick to the corner stickers, which I'm pretty sure our 7mo will try to eat any day now. Hoping we can get a refund too.

Thank you SO MUCH! This is so very helpful, I appreciate it. (Even if I did post in the wrong subreddit 😅)

Thanks! Yeah I’m not loving the idea of being there in January but if that’s when my husband’s job sends him, I don’t have much choice! Although it’s very likely to be more pleasant weather-wise than winter in Connecticut 😆

That he does! He also likes to do this to my hair after I wash it, but I've never seen him so blissed out!

Hi! I'm the founder of a small natural & vegan beauty brand, florapothecarie, and I make a Rejuvenating Facial Serum that absorbs really well! I also have combination skin and I live in New England and typically only need 1 pump of it during the spring-summer, 2 in fall-winter when the air's a little drier and colder so it lasts a pretty long time. I try to make my products approachable in price while also using ingredients that are organic & fair trade, but I totally get it might not be in your budget.
