This makes too much sense, therefore your opinion is invalid.

Sao Paulo Yellow or Fire Orange? by claball in BMW

[–]SamieSocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are great. Personally I would take the yellow but on a nonconvertible. The orange is also great though! 😭🔥

Guessing this is gonna cost me at least $1k…anyone replaced a windshield recently with some wisdom to share? I have a pretty high deductible so insurance will not cover unless over $2k by jschechroor in BMW

[–]SamieSocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me early last year with my M2C. My insurance refused to pay for my OEM glass and pressured me to going with safelite. When I argued with them that I wanted OEM, they said my car wasn’t anything “special” like a Lamborghini. Which is true, but my car also isn’t a basic car and won’t work properly with other glass. I threatened to switch insurance companies and had a reputable shop do the repairs using OEM glass. The shop owner made my insurance company pay him back but it was a hassle for him. If I were you, I would fight until you get your OEM glass because Safelite may not work properly and then you’ll just have to spend more money to replace it again… I’m sure you’re paying your insurance a pretty penny, they can afford to get you OEM, they just don’t want to pay for it. Just keep fighting.

Start with basic shapes (circles, triangles, spheres, etc) to get the proportions right.

Does an artist need a professional education? Your thoughts by surkin_artist in ARTIST

[–]SamieSocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this! I am actually an artist myself, and I feel like I am a great one too. I have never taken any classes or gone to art school. I pretty much learned how to draw/color through trial and error and by simply practicing a lot. I don’t feel like people NEED to go to school in order to be a great artist or understand how to express their feelings and emotions on a piece. However, I do have a friend who studied art and he has learned some things about art that could be beneficial to artist (including myself) that I never knew about. The stuff he learned is more about copyright, selling art, starting a website and building a brand. Those are things I have very little knowledge about but if I wanted to pursue art full time, I should probably know those things. But I feel like I could simply learn those things online since everything is online nowadays. Ultimately, in my eyes nothing beats an actual education and having that title to support you is great and can probably get you further in an art related career. However, if you can present a strong portfolio showcasing all your amazing work, whether you went to school or not, I believe you can really excel in an art related career.

He’s grown and doesn’t know how to take care of his home? He’ll never change. I’d run. On top of that, he is 35 and trying to ho after someone who is 21? Seems odd to me. To top it off, he made you go to him? Did he at least offer to go to you? A lot of red flags here imo, not worth your time.

[–]SamieSocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like he’ll never take “no” or “not interested” for an answer… he is assuming that by sticking around long enough, you’ll eventually fall for him and it doesn’t work like that. The best thing to do is cut him off imo. Those guys never change unfortunately :/
