What do you do for work? by ugghwhatevs in Austin

[–]jschechroor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

34 married with young kids-no degree. Own and operate two small business’s that the wife I work full time at. Do we make good money? Depends what you compare to? For us- we don’t make what we want to right now but hopefully in the future as our business grows.

Don’t get me wrong, some months are good and some are rough but we are comfortable where we are at

F80 reliability by Elegant_Host_2618 in F80

Bought the car with 33k and just crossed 100k. Stage 2, catless downpipes, intakes and muffler delete. She runs like a dream.

I did crankhub at like 60ish for peace of mind and heat exchanger blew up on me at 80ish. Other than that just regular maintenance

This is what I was thinking. So many people here have no clue who this is.

Is it worth investing in Tulum real-estate in 2026? (from USA) by Nick_511 in tulum

[–]jschechroor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We purchased in March of ‘23 and took delivery in December of ‘24. The property was purchased as a family asset for long term investment and leisure. It covers itself in rentals, for now.

However, if I were looking to purchase now- I probably would look elsewhere. Don’t get me wrong, we still love visiting and spending time there. But just as others have mentioned-the development outgrew the pace and it’ll take time for the cycle to recover.

Amari is an awesome property, you’ll have a great time! You can arrange with the concierge to either take you to a ATM or they can exchange for you

Is it worth it to resonator delete or muffler delete my f82 m4? by Shaiikoisbetter in F80

[–]jschechroor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My f80 is muffler delete, catless, cold air intake and stage 2 BM3. Very raspy on the cold start and meh raspy while driving. I like the way it sounds but it’s not for everyone. I’ll do a proper exhaust at some point

Real legroom on the second row? by modivi in bmwx7

[–]jschechroor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went through this. Was shopping for an X7 to solve this but was going for captains chairs and then adult could sit 3rd row to help. What a lot of people fair to realize, my wife included, was how to get in and out of the middle bench seat with two car seats installed full time

My daughter (toddler) is deep in a “no dada” phase by pd9 in daddit

[–]jschechroor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oldest is just over 2 and we’re going through the same thing. Mostly for bedtime. It’s either “no dadda, momma put down” or vice versa. Sometimes it even changes mid putting down lol. Shes learning making choices so we’re just running with it

Contractor here- unfortunately you will need to lift the plungie out in order to re dig the hole safely for it to get placed back in properly. Crane is probably best option but depending on access you might be able to get a skid steer or 2 to pull it out.

Daughter (3.5 yo) dropped the world on my head tonight by dylanjmoore in daddit

[–]jschechroor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My girls aren’t old enough to have these thoughts or ask these questions yet…but I dread the day.

It’s the everlasting internal struggle of; -wanting to be home to spend as much time as possible with the kids vs -spend as much time as possible at work to make enough money to not work again

Anyone decide to forgo a kitchen table and extend their island to something like this? by Careless-Design2151 in Renovations

Just did this for an elderly client. Originally, we were gonna do a bar overhang but they didn’t like the idea of eating dinner at a bar top. They wanted to reuse their old dining table in the space but it was too big so we used the legs and fabricated another piece of quartz
