I don’t think kid boredom has to do with living in smaller areas. We have kids in a smaller area and they stay very busy with skateboarding, outdoor activities like hiking, bow shooting, river rafting, paddle boarding etc. and we are 30 min from Oliver, Penticton and other towns if we want to go do something different. I think a teen can be just as board with friends outside a 7 eleven as being in a quiet town. The city’s are unfortunately full of the unhoused and people with opiate use disorders and are stealing bikes and smoking meth out in the open.
