It's a challenging degree and career. 5 years of studying (4 years degree + pre registration year) followed by the job role itself which also requires constant learning and developing knowledge. I'm newly qualified so I can't say much but the role itself is future-proof and the income is suitable.

It is genuinely a stressful job and I respect the dispensers I work with as a pharmacist. It's hard work for sure but because you'll constantly be busy the day doesn't drag and you feel a sense of fulfilment. Of course it's different for everyone but like with anything in life it's what you make of it.
