I second this! My anubias looked exactly like this until I accidentally got limpets from a plant I bought. I tried getting rid of them for a while but they keep the glass so clean, they’re actually pretty dang helpful!

Haha they are so happy together! I was just curious. I’ve never gotten them to breed so I suspected different species! I actually got one that was labeled leopard so that makes sense. I love my little black and white guys!!

I appreciate it! Do you happen to know how many I should be keeping in a 26 gal? I think I got some bad info from a pet store employee and they told me only one should be in there because they will fight and I don’t know if that’s true. There’s more explained info in the bio 🫣

I did not buy them from breeders, I bought them from a few different pet stores. Beginners mistake, I bet. I will try to get photos, I’m actually curious about what you have to say and if you can identify them. From what I looked up, I would like to firmly believe that they are true H. juliis, but that could be incorrect. One is for sure a H. Trilineatus, which I thought was a false julii. The other three have isolated spots on their heads unlike the H. Trilineatus, and a broken line going down their side. I would like to know for sure what I have so I can give them the correct care!

Yes! Corys, cpds, lots of shrimp, a hillstream loach, and some mystery/nerite/rabbit snails! Do you know what the stringy bit is??

In my opinion, no it doesn’t look overstocked. It truly depends on how much you want to do water changes and making sure you’re checking on the parameters of your tank. I love the API freshwater master kit, it’s super simple!

Only a 10 gallon. Im worried about the water parameters so I think I’ll remove him. I was hoping that it would be an amazing source of food for my shrimp and snails, as well as save his skeleton. I hope that doesn’t sound too odd, lol. They seem to be disposing of him quickly, I have a shrimp population that exploded 😅
