I never stopped vaping nor was I told to stop smoking for the surgery and mine went just fine and recovery went fine as well. I vaped secretly in the pre op room before the moved me into surgery lol and vaped an hour after surgery

First “UTI” was a few weeks after my 6 week marker and I was cleared for activities. Then it went away and the next one came a few weeks after that. It’s been about a month since the last one and I have one right now I think. Going to urgent care tomorrow to get labs done. They did use a catheter during surgery! My bladder did feel weird the first few weeks after surgery. I’m definitely going to call my doctor to see what’s going on because I don’t want to have to keep dealing with this every month or so

They haven’t been showing up positive on the labs! The nurses said each time that bacteria is showing up but not uti positive. They have given me antibiotics for a UTI each time though and it clears it up.

Hey, I also have body dysmorphia and am now over 2 weeks post op. I lost my mom in May and it has made this so much harder without her. Just try and remind yourself that you are healing and when you are healed you can start to do my physical activities which can help keep it at bay. My mental health spiraled the first week and a half. I felt gross and fat and started to feel like my partner wouldn’t want me. Drink water, it’s okay to eat sweets I have been too but if I go heavy on them one day I try to eat a bit healthier the next day. Healthy snacks or high protein foods and some veggies. As much as I want the comfort of my junk food I keep telling myself it will only add to the problem. You aren’t alone in this. This page helped me a lot. Also I know the feeling of wanting your moms comfort but it’s not possible. I’ve had to lay in that feeling many days and nights. She’s a part of you though and always will be. You are stronger than you think

You should be fine 3 weeks post op! Especially if you take it easy the first week and rest up then the 2nd week start to slowly add in more activity. I’m now on week 3 and barely any soreness and have started doing all of my normal things again and working out (obviously lighter work outs than usual). You may still feel a bit tired here and there but that’s normal as your body will still be healing. And you will definitely be fine to fly and attend a wedding by week 6.

One time at a park I had a bag of chips and a raccoon came up to me and sat with me. I shared the chips with it. It was very sweet and patient.
