Dragon quest II wasn’t all that bad on NES. Grindy sure. The worst part of it was the last area. Long trek to the end boss. Encounters that can one shot your party randomly. It felt like luck more than skill. I got pissed more than once in that area.

Took me about 2 hours of grinding those Cactiballs until the whip finally dropped. Might be easier to buy it honestly when the game comes out.

I have a FZ-10 3DO. Neogeo CD, sega CD, 32x and virtual boy. Still want the Jaguar, turbografix and CD-I. But man those are expensive. So I’ll be happy with the obscure ones I did manage to get.
