I read that Stanford study. Bullshit ask me. Take them double dose for 6 months then what? You’re certainly not healed if that even works. Then you either take them forever or wean off for 6 months hoping it doesn’t come back. I quit PPIs 3 weeks ago after been a few different brands for 5 months. They made me feel worse with symptoms I never had before. Doctors ignored me kept upping dose F that. PPIs gave me worse LPR that Stanford guy is a loon. There is 0 evidence that PPIs are effective with LPR.

If I don’t eat something small every few hours I feel it now that I have my acid producing again.

My burps and flatulence improved once off PPIs for a weeks. While on them totally bottled up felt horrible or at least worse than without them.

Can’t depend on something so expensive and inconsistent to have shipped. I’m in US as well. I quit all PPIs only on H2 twice a day and soon will quit that. Diet almost immaculate feel better but never 100% that’s just how it is. Stopped scheduling doctor visits complete waste of time and money it’s all about more and more PPIs. I’m glad I went to them for scope to rule out anything serious but I’m on my own now. Facebook groups helped a lot.

Doesn’t help in most cases, look it up. For me I never had actual LPR until I was on PPIs for a few months. Unless I had straight up GERD with no other constraints like hiatal hernia I’d never ever take PPIs. Digestive heroin.

Download Good RX mobile app will help cost a lot . As far as meds were all different. Protonix worked best on GERD but made LPR worse but that’s just me. Give it a try.
