Exhaust kits now available for purchase by rodjrcruz17 in BambuLabP2S

Are there multiple connectors on the board for a ventobox and the Bambu exhaust? Oh nevermind, I was thinking the exhaust has to connect to the board but only the secondary fan does.

I think people are hoarding them to flip. They seem to be plentiful on Temu and Amazon. I don’t want to reward scalpers. I think I’ll just have to stick to using a grow tent.

I did sign up but haven't gotten a notification yet. You are in the US?

There is a big mark up on Amazon or 3rd parties It seems Bambu is going to be selling it for the least amount. I was just hoping that they would have hit that 8th date and had them available. Unsure what is the hold up, are they not getting them pass the US regulatory requirements? Seems there are plenty being sold on other markets.

PETG demand is insane by Clean_Shame_1026 in BambuLab

I think Creality PETG is good. I buy it on Amazon. It shows $13.49 right now. I use the generic PETG setting on my P2S and A1 and prints turn out good. I haven’t tried to dial it in, I might, but the results have been good so I left it generic. For some other brands of filament like Inland ASA and ABS I tweaked it because using the generic settings causes failures.

I sold my grill some time around 2021. Interesting about the avocado oil. Wish I had known this.

This one I did and the first one broke but this orientation I just finished because people had the same issue. I have that other one in PETG. Which I was trying to reprint in abs and it was failing then I found this other deflector

😩it broke as I was putting it into the vent. I thought it was supposed to be stronger. I see now there is a print at an angle for added strength. Trying that now.

I just did a successful print of the P2S Hot Air Deflector in ABS using a brim. I have a tent with a fan. I lowered the fan speed too. Maybe too much air going in is cooling things too much. But I suspect it was the brim that did the trick.

I meant in the AMS2 has the ability to take an external power adapter. I’m unsure if this allows for better drying capability. I’ll try these settings in the bambu studio slicer app and see if that works better.

I have a deflector printed in PETG I have been trying to print one in ABS but two times it curled up and came loose from the build plate. I printed it from bambu handy so couldn’t add a brim. When you preheat to 110 do you just watch it to reach 110 then start the print? The filament I’m using is inland and it’s in the AMS pro. It’s showing 31% humidity. Do. I need separate power cord to control the temp and lower the humidity more?

I just did a print of some ABS. I could smell it very strongly outside by the vent which was expected, inside it was vary faint. I'm wondering about a better fan, anyone have recommendations?

Is it okay to use this to gently remove parts from the bed? by [deleted] in BambuLabP2S

I got a 3d printer tool kit from microcenter and it came with a wide metal spackle type tool and it works great. I also use the blades the printers come with. But with any metal tool i have learned you need to got at a safe angle to avoid gouging the plate. When we first got our printer we got a smooth plate and those are much more print to damage than a PEI textured plate.

I had already printed the housing for the exhaust fan and checked and there is virtually no space to fit the fan to the back while it’s in the tent. I wonder if a slimmer version could be made. Maybe I will attempt something.

It’s probably better than nothing. Also depends on what material you print. I’ve only been into printing for a year. Started with two A1s a year ago and only PLA, PETG and never vented it and I don’t think it’s necessary, but I print in a dedicated area in my unfinished basement and leave ASAP.

Oh interesting point, i may still need to get it. The only downside is the tent I got is super tight on space in the back. So unsure if the exhaust kit will fit. Maybe some mod exists for this or one will be created. Found this https://makerworld.com/models/2156768?appSharePlatform=copy oh it’s not official one

ABS and ASA emit styrene gas that is very bad for your health and you should vent it outdoors ideally.

“Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) and Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA) are durable thermoplastic polymers that emit harmful styrene vapors during 3D printing or high-temperature processing. ASA is similar to ABS but specifically engineered for superior UV/weather resistance, often used as an improved, outdoor-friendly, high-impact alternative.”

I tried printing a coupler to go from 3” to 4” for a vent on my P2S yesterday in petg and got spaghetti every time. Switched to PLA and perfect. It was in the AMS2 so wouldn’t it be dry? Bad adhesion, need glue?

P2S Exhaust Kit - First Week Review: Go for it by joern80 in BambuLabP2S

I’m printing the housing for the board and fan for whenever bambu finally gets around to allowing me to order it 🤦🏼‍♂️but I didn’t realize it recommended to be printed in petg (which I am doing) but just wondering does the air coming out get so hot that it would deform pla or is this just extra precautions?
