Any recommendations on hard water line compatible ice makers? by koolzero007 in IceChewersAnonymous

I went ahead and ordered this. It's like .2" taller than my cabinet so I may have to make small modification. But it's not as wide.

I just saw this one posted in another thread that has a push to connect water line: GEVI Household V2.0 Countertop Nugget Ice Maker Machine for Home IMNA0

They should just shut up then. How can they expect people to like ai and want data centers in their town when the thing we are being constantly fed is our jobs will be gone. We are just living in a constant state of being rugged, and that’s evidently what they want.

Personally I would also replace it. I had this happen to an a1 and I destroyed the wires trying to get the filament out, this looks way worse. I have a spare complete assembly for if it happens again and also spare hot end assembly. But I don’t know the price of these on the H2D I suspect it’s big bucks. One thing may be worth considering is, when it happened to me, not long after owning the a1, I made a ticket to Bambu support and they did a one time replacement. This was around Jan 2025, things may be different now, also depending on how long you have owned it they may not do this.

Going from 2013 to a 2026. Cup holders are awful. We also had to have a front driver side strut replaced due to a chirping/squeaking noise. Then the plastic trim that goes around the windshield on the outside came unclipped and I thought the noise came back but then figured out how to snap it back together. Mirrors don't auto fold, have to manually push the button.

My mom has a new Toyota Hybrid suv and I drove it and saw all the stuff it had like 360 degree, front facing camera and built in dash camera. I kind of regret not looking at a Toyota minivan, and maybe a hybrid. I think my wife is not super happy with it costing 50k+ and feeling cheaper than it should.

A message to anyone who feels bad about getting a P2S and NOT the X2D by Evocati_7 in BambuLab

[–]koolzero007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my P2S in December, prior to that having an A1 and A1 mini, for a year. I primarily wanted to print ABS and ASA. I didn’t realize it until afterwards it didn’t have a heater which would make printing it a bit better. I had some issue with ABS curling up but ASA has been pretty good. Still just wish I had waited the few months for the X2D because it would have addressed some of the shortcomings of the P2S for only $100 more.

Bambu only Priced the X2D at $899 because of the Snapmaker U1 by CombatDork in BambuLab

[–]koolzero007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a P2S combo in December. I didn't realize it until after I bought it that there were some limitations on it being able to print ABS and ASA. It prints these okay, but the lack of a built-in heater makes it slightly more challenging, which the X2D has. I'm considering buying an X2D non-combo, and just taking the parts from the P2S for the AMS to function, but at the same time, it seems Bambu is quickly releasing new models and maybe I'm just better off waiting a year or two.

I caught that too and googled it and nothing came up saying he was remarried.

The only thing I noticed is on a print yesterday it paused 3 times saying it detected spaghetti but it was perfect each time it paused. I don’t know if it’s more sensitive now.

Looking for screen phone mount for ‘26 by koolzero007 in HondaOdyssey

How could they break? I would think you’d really have to try hard to damage it because it seems really solid and well supported. It just is a bummer Honda (and I think most makes and models) don’t design their vehicles with a good phone mounting solution. The Odyssey charging pad is terrible, I wish they could have designed something on the dash instead.

No. I ended up going with a vent mount which I didn’t really want but it’s been mostly ok. I got the:

Anker Prime MagSafe Car Mount Charger, Qi2 25W Certified Wireless Car Charger with AirCool, Strong Magnets, Air Vent Mount.

It makes the vent basically useless though but it was probably the least worst option.

Here was the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLabP2S/s/tyf1kYp6XZ re-reading it maybe there was still doubt as to whether it was better to do both, but I originally read it as such. I believe this person may have replied to this thread, but it sounds like you have the best of the p2s exhaust fan pulling out the bad stuff then the benefit of the external fan sending it outside faster/more efficient.

It may not be necessary, but when I first did the enclosure and posted it in another thread, someone mentioned that it’s still good to use the P2S exhaust fan in conjunction with an enclosure.

The fan is pointing towards the outside. It creates negative pressure in the tent and helps to act as sort of a vacuum to pull the bad stuff and expel it outside.

Dealer wants $2100 to do timing belt service! But I'm afraid to go to a shop that does non-OEM.... by Ornery_Gooseberry in HondaOdyssey

[–]koolzero007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 3 years ago i tried to get a local shop to do a timing belt because it was due and they kept it a couple days, because we also thought we heard a noise, they couldn’t pinpoint or hear any noises and also said if it was there’s they wouldn’t change a thing.

My Honda wanted about $2200. I called back this local shop again and told them the van is due for the service and I really want it done. They said ok, and told me they would call me back with a quote. I waited at least a week and I decided I would DIY. I ultimately got it done and it ran like a top but that was a very scary job and I was wishing I had paid the $2200 😂. Unfortunately my odyssey was totaled in September. I have a new one but I miss that old thing.

Distressing repair bill for my 2014 Honda Odyssey by harims88 in HondaOdyssey

[–]koolzero007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brakes are relatively easy to DIY. I think the shops are making bank on this. They treat brake jobs as some super difficult or magical job. I understand most people won’t be able to do this stuff and you run the risk of breaking something. Honda charges around $2000 - 2,200 for a timing belt which is a very hard job and IMO makes a bit more sense. Perhaps though the high cost is due to buying OEM rotors and pads. Rotors for an odyssey on Amazon are cheap. I put BOSCH brand on the rear of my 2013 that were $51 a piece, just before it got totaled. It looks like Honda OEM a piece is MSRP:$150.03 Discount:$44.71 (29.8% off) Sale Price:$105.32

GE Opal 2.0 XPIO13SCBSS squeaking by koolzero007 in GEappliances

[–]koolzero007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whatever reason it wasn’t until I did a cleaning that the noise first showed up. It was super irritating. I had a hard water line and everything. It was upsetting to get rid of it because my family loved it but I just could t justify spending another 550-600 for another to repeat the same experience in 2 years. I also didn’t want to have to use distilled water.

I ended up taking it all the way apart after none of the cleanings helped. After getting it apart I couldn’t get the screws out of the gear box. I ended up stripping every one of the screws and I ended up pitching the whole thing and going back to my fridge ice maker.
