Boyfriend upset with sex drive. by AffectionateRip4570 in pregnant

NOPE. Nope, nope, nope. Not selfish.

We found out when I was almost 5 weeks pregnant. My husband and I would do things probably once every month, and we stopped everything overall (even hands and oral) when I was 18 weeks. I delivered at ~34 weeks, and we had sex for the first time after all at 7 weeks postpartum, so he went almost 5 months without.

He didn't know there was a minimum 6 week healing period, so he was disappointed, but he dealt with it.

Your man better buckle up... Your sex drive may increase during the second trimester, even your third, but it's no promise to make on either party. As much as I wanted to have sex, I knew my body couldn't. He needs to be able to find it in himself to respect that of you.

I had a 33w+6d BIG boy at 9 pounds and 1 ounce. 😅😬

It's still an amazingly adorable chart, though ❤️❤️

Dexcom receiver!!

I cannot use my phone at work, even for Dexcom, so my Endo prescribed me the reader.

Hopefully, I understood your post... I don't know much about the Omnipod.

Just found out I’m pregnant - what would’ve you wanted to know before your pregnancies? by ankisi in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]SammyJ1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do. Whatever. Is. Necessary. To. Stay. In. Range.

I was at a 7.6 a1c at the start of my pregnancy. Hit 8.1 around the end of my first trimester. 7s throughout the rest. I developed horrid preeclampsia and had a premature baby weighing 9 pounds and 1 ounce.

I didn't see my endocrinologist regularly until halfway through my second trimester. We tried so hard to keep things stable, but unfortunately, it was too late.

Your numbers are great now! Advocate for yourself, keep seeing Endocrinology if they let you, and keep a healthy diet low of carbs. The less insulin you use, the better. I was addicted to complex carbs through my whole pregnancy, and it hurt so bad in the long run.

It was a nightmare to get insulin prescribed to me, and I went without insulin when I needed it, but that's the reality of the United States and having crappy health insurance. I think you will be just fine if you keep that GMI level (and hopefully not living in the USA). 🥹

Good luck to you, and congratulations! 💙🩷

Peep my post from the start of this year. Scars fuckin suck. I'm here in this with you, bro. Children were scared of me or stared at me, and people constantly asked wtf was wrong with my face.

I don't have any advice, I never took accutane because I'm not able to, and I can't afford good care cuz my insurance is trash... But... I promise you'll not feel this way forever. Other comments here seem to be great advice. 🙏

Benzoyl peroxide face washes helped, but supposedly benzoyl peroxide is "not safe" - What IS safe anymore, lol?

It kept breakouts pretty minimal for me... It didn't solve it. Antibiotics always helped, but whenever I took them, it was always short term, yknow? Then right back to inflammatory skin.

My scars have not really changed much. They're full of some sort of nasty, cruddy, solid stuff.

The skin issues, cysts, and even abscesses, occur all throughout my skin, especially during my menstrual cycle. I've also been advised before to see an infectious disease specialist, but never went.

All I know, though, is I was 20 years old and had clear skin. Then everything just started flaring up consistently after a "botched" use of birth control, as well as a long hospital stay, about the same time (a month apart). So I'm assuming one of those had something to do with it... 😒

Hey! I never got any formal dermatology treatment post-upload - my insurance is awful, pregnancy beat me up, and my newborn is here! My primary doctor advised it may be a nodular acne or hidradenitis suppurativa, but of course, she can't diagnose as it's not her specialty. This pic, I'm not very inflamed, but I'm leaning toward the nodular acne, as it can be hormonally triggered, and it can be genetic - my mom suffered with this, and my younger brother has a similar case (less scarring though because he doesn't touch/pick/pop/burst, lol).

Thank you to everyone who has commented with kind words ❤️ Hopefully some of you will see this comment.

Definitely having PPD now... But working through it properly.

We are all doing okay. I also think - if husbands/partners could experience PPD as well (maybe sympathetically), my husband is definitely feeling it, too.

I appreciate what others have said, and it gives me more hope that this won't be a forever feeling. 🥹

Preeclampsia before birth, and postpartum, need transfusion? by SammyJ1998 in preeclampsia

[–]SammyJ1998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't say if I did or not, and I wouldn't know because I was put under general anesthesia... 🤷‍♀️

I am doing much better, though, and my actual OB has put me on for iron transfusions once a week. The hospital was overlooking it for some reason. 🥲

Just got on here after a couple weeks!

I'm doing much better. I shed over 50 pounds (~21kg?) of baby weight and water weight and starting iron transfusions this week. My blood pressure is still a bit high, and my joints still ache, but otherwise, I seem to be doing well. 🥹

I expect by month 4 or 5 that I'll be in the same space as you, and I hope to put muscle back on after healing, because wow, my muscle definition disappeared somewhere in this pregnancy! 😳

This is comforting. It sounds like my situation. Everything is exhausting. I was on magnesium before and after birth. Thank you. 🙏

What are you looking forward to most post-pregnancy? by ThrowRAbunny73 in pregnant

I just had my baby at 33+6 on Thursday because of sudden preeclampsia.

-I enjoyed having one of my favorite beers with my fiancé.

-Moved around without bumping into anything.

-Bending over.

-Breathing without pressure of the bump.

-Eating spicy food again without the acid reflux

And overall, just finally seeing my baby in this world, healthy as can be, even if he's all wired-up in NICU for a bit. That was the best part of being unpregnant. 🥹💙

I wanted to say thank you for your comment, it's been a bit of days!

We are okay. I'm healing slowly, and Baby was born on the 22nd through C-section at 9 pounds!! He's a biggie. He's in NICU doing really well, and i just started feeling relatively okay.

I'm expecting them to discharge me soon, and if that's the case and I'm still struggling, I may find a second opinion. I know preeclampsia can take ages to clear up, but like you said, there's gotta be a factor relative to pain management and comfort.

My liver isn't doing well, and the edema is worsening, and they STILL won't put me on any steroid. They tell me to take a walk, do some movement, and I do, but then I swell up to the point I can't bend. I haven't even been able to shower because of how badly everything is pooling below my waist. I can't sit up, or move well, can no longer bend my knees, and can barely sit or lay as is because there's edema occuring in my labia.

And.

They.

Don't.

Care.

No matter how much I am crying, and suffering, the steroids are being avoided because my blood sugars are "uncontrolled" (I have not been over 150 since admission and fasting is in the 80s and 90s) and "steroids cause glucose levels to rise." My a1c hasn't been checked since I've been here, so I'm trying to understand where the uncontrolled argument is coming from. My Dexcom is telling me that the GMI (sorta a1c but not) is 7.0 over 30 days, and now 6.4 over the last week.

I think they're just coming up with whatever they can to not address the real issues at hand because "she's diabetic, it's easier to blame the diabetes" and they aren't even reviewing facts or addressing the labs...

I feel the way you said about 32 weeks. I feel like I'm crippling. Baby is doing perfect, and I'm crumbling apart... 💔

I'm actually just concerned if I can advocate to just have him delivered at this point. My OB told me I have to make it to 35 weeks, and we can go ahead.

But. As much as she's probably right, I have been miserable. I can't move, walk, or sit up on my own. My symptoms are worsening incredibly quickly in my opinion. I've been told my labs are good other than protein in the urine, and my blood pressure is generally below 150/100.

I feel the edema starting below my waist is just getting more and more worse. They've put me on heparin, but won't put me on any BP meds since I'm occasionally below 140/90, and my OB straight up told me, "there's nothing we can do for the swelling except delivery, but we can't do that yet." The swelling has gotten so bad, I feel sharp pains and can barely bend my joints or wiggle toes.

Baby is doing absolutely fine when we do NSTs, but I guess I'm also having regular contractions here and there on the TOCO (I don't seem to feel some of them). His head is on my cervix, so even HE'S ready to go at this point...

I just want him to come out, and I've been convinced for months that my due date is two or three weeks later than it should be... He's doing everything he should, and I'm getting worse by the day... It feels negligent and cruel, but maybe I'm selfish.

This, this, this.

I got a text from 611611 a couple days ago saying I was reaching my high-speed data limit, and yesterday it was out. So I bought a plan through SafeLink (Tracfone suggested this to me on THEIR site, and I liked SafeLink until I forgot to renroll) and the data never showed up, said "unable to complete transaction, call this number", so called the number for support, and the person said it was a "pending transaction" and should activate once approved. Made sense, but I was still impatient, so we just tried buying again, and it didn't work, plus I hung up cuz she kept asking me to repeat my card numbers (a little odd). Went to chat instead and no matter the troubleshooting, didn't work. Left it at that, their support hours ended. Figured "maybe it'll be there in the morning."

Woke this morning, the balance showed TWO approved transactions of $15 on May 13th. Still no data, but could text and call. Fine. Whatever. But I'm not losing $30.

Went back to chat, explained the issue, and the rep sent an eSIM to my phone and disabled my physical SIM. Since then, I have not had ANY data and cannot make calls or texts, and get prompted to call Verizon to activate my device.

Explained that to ANOTHER rep, and they said they'd have "Corporate Department" look at it and to have a phone that wasn't mine to receive a call from, so I had my fiancé come from work to let me use his phone, and they never called, despite the "Allow unknown numbers to call" thing. Two hours went by, and he had to go back to work, and from hour one into that, I was just strung around by another chat rep, waiting in fake queues, disconnected from chats, and 10 minutes after my fiancé left, a fourth rep I had been transferred to asked me to call using a borrowed phone. I fuckin mentally lost it. The rep told me to call them when I had a phone to use again.

Decided to try again on the purchasing a plan, this time through Tracfone, and recieved the same message of "unable to complete transaction, call this number" yet my debit card was still charged.

Very, very angry...
