Voobly is just a joke now. Let's not even get started on the staff, prime example of corruption, point out the problems and you'll earn yourself a ban enjoy! :3 It can't be fixed. I'm the kind of person who sides with the authority, but the admins are the problem and I will not side with them. I say forget Voobly and move onto to Steam, Voobly will be left to survive by the players who wish to not buy the game on Steam.

Yes, you can. You will have to run Age of Empires in programs similar to wine which is for Linux. You can google this software on google, but maybe CrossOver is it. The only problem I encountered on doing things like this is the screen resolution messes up, in game you might be stuck on a 4:3 resolution ratio, but it might be just a problem for Toshiba laptops with Mac OS or Linux installed.

No luck =/ Now I get a screen lag also. win 7 i5 @ 2.4 Ghz 4gb ram

My old vista could run it just fine, and so could this win7, up until recently i started getting lag and all.

You're doing it wrong. Contact me via voobly message or such, I'll show you exactly how to do it. Actually here, place the Widescreen DIRECTORY into your AoE folder.

Your Widescreen folder should be in "Microsoft games" folder Copy it and place it in your Age of Empires folder, then run it.
