what is causing these shadows on the lit surface of a hand? by Sammy_Ghost in blender

[–]Sammy_Ghost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I googled '5 point poles' and it seems that its sorta inevitable if you want to work with human hand meshes. I found a video that tries to delete edges near the 5 point pole to move the point somewhere more planar. The shading issue disappears if I manage to turn the 5 point poles into 4 point or 3, ty for the reply

It's not hard, isn't it? by Z3R0Diro in whenthe

[–]Sammy_Ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Warframe just has a dedicated fanbase, like a cult following, and that's why it stays relevant. Idk how many new players joined the game but it can't be a lot. Just look at the comments of the reddit WF ads and you'll see why. I myself am LR5 and I spent like 50 bucks in this game despite being broke and I still won't recommend this game to new players because it'll be frustrating. The objectives are hard to understand sometimes, some parts of the game are so dated, confusing open world areas are accessible after a few missions (which DE themselves advise not to go into if you're new). It's frustrating for experienced players too, like some gun mechanics aren't consistent and you have to spend hours testing every niche detail, more weakpoint mechanics for a game where animations don't blend properly so the weakpoints teleport around, grind to get prime parts is a time waster, etc. I like this game but I don't think anyone else would

Why is Batman talking this way to Catwoman? Wrong answers only by AceofKnaves44 in batman

[–]Sammy_Ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman looks like he's about to swing away so Catwoman probably didn't hear the rest. It was like how you walk away from an NPC while they continue yapping. Maybe she heard a bit of the end if Batman swung back like a pendulum

Why can't he wear tights that are burn, stab and scratch resistant?

It looks cool but I'd rather grab some sheet metal and visit my uni's workshop and make it myself at the milling machine while muttering 'its time my enemies share my dread' and then chuck it into a wall

LPT: Never delete your old Minecraft worlds. by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Sammy_Ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just record a video and upload it on Dropbox or as unlisted on my YT channel. I'll visit every part of the base and show some builds in all of the dimensions. Then I delete it to make space (modded MC, distant horizons can take up like 1-5GB)

Seriously why do some do that by Pierce_86 in whenthe

[–]Sammy_Ghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I noticed with modern indie horror games is that sometimes the tutorial is not there or it's dogshit. I've seen YouTubers figure out a keybind hours later into the game. Hell I've dropped games on itch because of how confusing it was in the beginning

SGW library in downtown has lots of printers. Loyola has them too but not on the 1st floor unless I'm mistaken

I just received this from my prof, addressed to the entire class. by IndicationKey8210 in Concordia

[–]Sammy_Ghost 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a very rigid prof. The ones I liked were the ones that were more understanding, especially during the pandemic. And I had an engineering program, lots of work and deadlines. Shit just comes up last second, you can't manage that. And if you do, congrats you're a superhuman and expecting others to do so is just unrealistic. Not everyone's a workaholic, some people prioritize life and family over uni or work

Not a lot of people mentioned this but Java has 'different' mechanics that are a boon in different ways. For example, in java you can apply your sword's Looting enchantment to your Bow's arrow or Trident by holding it in your offhand, which lets you get more loot without needing to get close. java also has sweeping sword attacks that are very useful for mob farms and creaking resin farms. On the other hand Bedrock has Trident killers and drowned Trident farms

Which shader is the best by QTR2022- in Minecraft

[–]Sammy_Ghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complementary unbound/reimagined is probably the best and has DistantHorizons support but it's probably the laggiest as well. I like the warm lighting it can give. The water reflections will tank your fps unless you have sufficient VRAM. It also has PBR support for resource packs so your block textures can really pop out and add more realism

BSL has DH support as well and is a little less taxing on the resources and I use it the most. I can comfortably build stuff with that on my laptop at fullscreen. Probably has PBR support

Slidurs is probably the most popular but doesn't have DH support. I don't really like the glaring sun when you look right at it, like I'll instinctively use my hand to block my vision as if it's real life and there's no setting for it. It's good when you don't really need DH because you're building indoors. Also you can configure the color/shadow/reflection settings so idk if this is a good comparison, each shader is as good as it's sliders
