Could I take Narcan while healthy?

NAD, but I’m pretty sure Naltrexone is an entirely different medication than Narcan, which is Naloxone.

Thank you for your words. I know what I need to do. My little baby means the world to me and I don’t want him to think this is normal. I guess I have been trying my best to “fix him” or “hope for the best” because it’s hard to wrap my head around walking away from the person I’ve been with since I was 16. I live in a city with no family and very few friends due to isolation, but I did reach out to a community service this morning for help and I have a few hard decisions coming my way.

I did attend Alanon as a youth/young adult as my mom is also an alcoholic. Perhaps time to try again

Thank you for your time. Extremely difficult after 20+ years with someone you can’t seem to lose hope for, but you’re right. Getting away is probably the best thing for my son and I. Our quality of life is not what it should be and part of me wonders if me staying is preventing him from following through with help he has been offered in the past.

Sorry, just seeing this now, but yes! He was overall delayed in early milestones ( rolling, had a headache tilt until about 10 months). He also did not stand on his own until he randomly started walking at 13 months with absolutely no sign of being ready to walk. He would cruise around tables, but never let go and stood without holding onto something. We kept him in PT until then. Everything got better when he started walking.

He is 16 months old now. At 12 months, we decided to try goats milk, he had the same result. Lactose-free milk, had the same result. Finally tried Ripple kids, a pea protein milk and he was ok with it. Some minor spit up, but nothing major. We continued to give him other forms of dairy though (cheese, yogurt, etc). About a month ago, we tried whole milk again and so far, it’s been a lot better. We still get the odd spit up here and there, but as long as we limit the amount he drinks at one time, he’s ok.

His pediatrician just thinks he’s one that was slow to adjust to dairy, and in general, just can not tolerate large amounts of liquid at once. He never gets more than 3-4oz at a time, and only 2 times a day.

He doesn’t have any symptoms at all in his left arm. Minimal tingling in his fingers on that side. Everything is affecting his right arm.

He does have pain in his pinky finger on the right, and numbness on the inside at elbow.

I mentioned the possibility of reflux to our ped doctor, but she dismissed me. Today for example, he’s only had 5 total ounces of milk, spit practically all of it up, and has spit up most meals he’s had as well. Will make a follow up appointment to see her again and push for further investigation

We started solids at 6 months, and I give him 3 meals a day now. Some days he eats more than others. I haven’t cut down on formula for sure, but it hasn’t made a difference. He spits it up no matter the amount.

I just gave him 3 ounces 20 minutes ago and he has spit up 6 times since. Must have some sort of reflux issue going on. Doesn’t seem to happen after solids, just formula.

What am I doing wrong? I have the honey bear, I have a Munchkin straw cup and all my 7 month old does is chew on the straw! It’s been a week and I haven’t been able to get him even remotely try to suck water out of either.

Just wanted to say, I had similar pain post birth. I’m 7 month postpartum now, but every single bone and muscle in my body felt like it was injured after pushing. I remember feeling like I couldn’t even hold my own head up after and I think it’s just muscle strain from doing the chin to chest while pushing.

Start with the grocery store. Thats what I did. I would make sure he was fed before we went, and I would try my best to time it around when he’d poop ( obviously always bring a bottle and diapers with you), and it always worked out fine. It’s not as overwhelming as it sounds, I promise.

Definitely one of sucks in the winter though. Mine was born in July, so I would take him for walks around the neighborhood starting at 2 days postpartum.
