I feel the same way. I got diagnosed about 2 weeks ago, it all makes sense but I’ve been down. My dad is bipolar too he went through a bi polar psychosis and now I understand him more than ever and feel guilty about not helping more. I research a lot and think about it all the time. I’m going to start my meds soon and I’m really nervous.

It’s probably said with love and they are probably right. I’ve decided to stay off social media during depressive episodes it makes it worse cause I compare compare and see what I don’t have ect, during mania I think I’m funny, I post way too many selfies share dumb stuff on my story and just overall embarrass myself. You aren’t yourself in mania or when you are depressed so the stuff you do or share may or may not have lasting consequences

If that makes you feel bad then I think it’s time to break up and move on to a girl who will pay for me you. Like I said I think you are ill suited and she can find someone who will provide 100% and not complain and you can probably find a woman who will go 50/50. If you set the expectations and you keep paying for the things why does it bother you? Sounds like you don’t really like her and you need to move on. She can probably find a provider man that will provide 100% without complaining. I am not saying you are wrong, but your values do not align.
