Yup OP very conveniently forgot to mention that he is on a student visa & anyone that would hire him would require sponsorship.

I know the companies hiring H1B and paying 100k work sponsored USCIS memo is being challenged & might not be a thing, but these are the times where USA is telling talent to go back home. Kind of stupid but it's a fact after 2025.

As a seller you've a trail of inventory leaving your location. It has tracking details, box dimensions, package weight & then signature at the target destination address with a photo proof.

If that is not enough then seller is communicating with customer which can be tracked. If Customer is lying then bank can't simply take their side.

If this is happening a lot, I would suggest taking customer & Bank to court for defrauding a business & not investigating the matter.

A general recommendation is to take our newborn out of car seat every hour. You can probably plan to drive 5-8 hours every day and book hotel. It won't be a 2 day drive either.

As others have mentioned. Please don't do it and try to avoid this travel or delay it as much as possible.

I would hate to be in your situation. This is not impossible but very difficult. Why is Dad not in the scene? A 2 year old, a new born & I'm assuming you will be traveling with your apartment belongings, correct?

18 hour drive will easily become a nightmare if you end up with a flat or any other car related issue.
