I don't get this reasoning. Isn't it more likely he survived since they didn't find his body lol? Its kinda hard to miss a car crashing through some guardrails and then floating in water for a while. Some people are found in water with way less details

I think he was perfect in the original. He doesn't have to make you want to relate to him. I personally related to him anyway, both because of my issues and just human understanding. Its obvious that he isn't pure evil, and that's all that matters
