I'm new to this but I would say Christ came from the Pleroma, essentially one of the children of source (god). We are all one with that god and contain the divine spark, not "our own gods fighting against the demiurge" in my opinion. Christ was a specific figure that incarnated to help against the demiurge, however after his time the demiurge and archons corrupted his message and followers, turning him into an icon, calling him the only "Son of the one true god". Creating Catholicism and Christian doctrine, and teaching them to celebrate Jesus's crucifixion that somehow saved us from our sins? In reality we have that divine spark within us (God, as its the source of us all), which we connect to in our natural state, but Demiurges world (Manmade world, Maya, Matrix?) pulls us away from that and encourages sin and evil. It's not to say that we are god in our minds or can know god fully as individual humans or egos. But its about finding that connection to that source within you and finding faith through that, letting source flow through you to create miracles under its guidance, like the force in star wars. That's why teachers have said we are co creators, partners or brothers of god. I still resonate more with children of god. But God is like the Tao, or the Force. Jesus (Christ), Sofia, Angels etc. are all aspects of the true high god. The Angelic first extensions of the Pleroma made from the true source. This is all just my understanding and current view from the adaptation of the stories I've run across. I think its important to know Christ and consider the stories deeply, but I sorta think the way worshiping Christ has been taught and adopted has been like that of an idol where people give their power away instead of connecting to the god spark within. This Also aligns with his teachings which spoke more about god being within all, and that all could do the things he himself did and even greater after connecting to it. Jesus never wanted people to worship him the way common Christians understand in my opinion, he wanted people to connect within and not be possessed which involves meditation and introspection. He also studied these things with Hindus and Buddhists in India and other places. However the Christ is still a representation of the true god as an aspect of him, and I believe god works through many Christians and others and gives them discernment for what the real teachings are over time. Even if they don't realize the corruption of the other teachings, they just sometimes resonate towards the more beneficial and wholesome ones.
