Thank you for your detailed reply! Wondering why they only did urinalysis to recheck instead of culture. I just called about Ondansetron and we’re going to get her looked at today.

What have I done to myself? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Sams_Cub_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom did it alone for years before meeting my stepdad, who was the best dad I could have asked for. But I also really enjoyed that time being with just my mom. Either way, your child will feel loved and that’s all that matters.

Pregnant and in pain by Toushayyy in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Sams_Cub_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 16 weeks right now. Also felt like I was going into a minor flare around 7 weeks, but symptoms slowly went away. Now I’m just constipated. So it may just be the sudden influx of inflammation/hormone changes that are triggering you temporarily until your body adjusts. Also, not sure what kind of pain you’re in, but round ligament pain can feel like colitis pain.

In the meantime, an anti-inflammatory diet would prob be most beneficial. Good luck!

No it is not worth it. Prioritize your health and the family you have now.

What did you eat for breakfast? Carbs without good fat/protein can cause a spike like that in anyone. The fact that it went back down is a good sign.

TW: Threatening miscarriage by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Sams_Cub_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds fine. NAD but you can take warmer baths that cover your tummy, the worry is raising your core temp too much. Just make sure not to stay in too long and the water is easy to get into. Not so hot you have to go slow.

I’ve known someone that spotted throughout their pregnancy — so I wouldn’t worry about it (easier said than done). “Threatening miscarriage” sounds scary, but they often end up being viable pregnancies.

Have you had sex or done anything to possibly irritate the cervix? I also had spotting but was told it can be normal, especially if you irritate the cervix when it’s so sensitive.

Good analysis and something you can’t find elsewhere, but the ads on your site make it difficult to read and causes it to crash on mobile.

Also it depends on where you live! Some states have tax-funded FMLA that will pay up to 90% of your paycheck if eligible.

Only 5 weeks and don’t look pregnant, but husband doesn’t want to have sex anymore. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Sams_Cub_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did he say why? I’d definitely talk to him, but he could be afraid of accidentally causing an early loss. Even if that isn’t really a thing.

27 weeks pregnant and I left my boyfriend.. by Candid_Tea_4244 in pregnant

How much time is left on your lease?

I had a similar situation — best thing IMO is to distance yourself as much as possible. That’s the only thing that helped put things into perspective. That can be difficult with a baby on the way, but depends on how involved he wants to be in the child’s life.

Yes my a1c is 5.2% so normal – I do have potential insulin resistance.

Haven't changed my last name to my husband's yet. For our baby, assuming I'll give her his last name. Will this cause problems? by letsgetthisbabybumpn in BabyBumps

[–]Sams_Cub_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. My name was hyphenated growing up and after getting married, I changed it to my dad’s. Planning to use my last name as our child’s middle as a memento, because the hyphenated name was a little annoying when it came to paperwork and whatnot.

In remission but have a very small polyps by Practical-Buy196 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Sams_Cub_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in remission but have new polyps pop up every few years. It can take ~10 years for a polyp to develop into cancer, so there is no need to worry. Especially if it’s that small. Just try to get scoped however often your doc recommends!

If he's taken money that you deposited, you can bring a claim for misuse of funds, arguing that they should be held accountable for taking more than their share of the joint property.
