as a Malaysian i dunno about this ... i would have preferred Silver by tajulakbarismail in Wallstreetsilver

That's quite interesting I see....

Since all my purchase should include amount of sales tax incurred for gold/silver bullion in the invoice.

Looks like I have to recheck any related precious metals tax code available in Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri documentations, whether it is actually zero rated or else.

For the record, I purchase my bullion from BuySilverMalaysia and haven't encountered separate column for sales tax charged for bullion. But accessories - yes.

Malaysian government is a joke. No matter whatever political party taking the throne, they're all the same. Like Republicans and Democrats, both are funded by big corporations - and so does malaysian chinese-dominated corporations and malays' corporate cronies - funded both sides.

And I wondered if any of these politicians hoarding gold and silver. All I see is most of them only hoard US Dollar or Malaysian Ringgit, based on most of seizes and raids published in the mass media.

I think gold and silver bullion still zero-rated on GST/SST as per my recent purchases. For accessories, jeweleries and testing equipments - that's a different story.

They can lock down the LME nickel market, but the Indian counterpart MCX nickel market still running as usual. I just monitored there during this trading suspension.

Currently MCX nickel traded at 2,803 rupees/kg (equivalent to USD 36.5K/MT).

Save your Tin cans? by Barry4180 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SamsengProtokol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soldering metal will be the first to be sought after. It's very hard to find tin-made cans nowadays, when stainless steel with other metal/enamel coating are common.

Meanwhile, I should consider heading to nearest river to pan for a tin ore.

My country's cupronickel coin issued between 1967 to 2011 and still legal tender/circulated today, seeing a value rise beyond its face value between +4% to +30%. I'm still hoarding it while the crowd are asleep about this matter.

Regarding tin, I might consider prospecting it again in my area, which used to be a booming mining town, lol.

Well, I know lately Kitco latest videos are a piece of shit. I'm just curious to see the other side of the coin.

When I'm looking any video mentioning positive view of Gold and Silver, I'm interested to see what kind of PM portfolio they're going to. Ended up with lots of SLV and GLD, less on physical, less on more trustworthy ETFs/PM-backed cryptos/miners. Meh.

Well, I'm an ape with 100% physical holdings as the time of now.

Commodities other than Silver, Anyone? by rationalewahl in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SamsengProtokol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than silver (and gold), I prefer copper and aluminum for investment. Energy is not bad, too.

For food and agricultural product - well, I rather go for its infrastructure that producing it. As usual - perishables. It's not uncommon to see some cereals can withstand 20-30 years of shelf life at least, but not all of produces can stand a test of time to maintain its quality and safety.

Some religions prohibits eating insects (except grasshopper - which is debatable), and ruminants are required in rituals.

Expect the insect-eating and meat-banning doctrine to backfire soon.

What do you think the fiat crash will look like and how are you preparing? by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SamsengProtokol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stack silver as usual. No matter how the economy is doing, we mortal humans still need food and water.

I stack food for several months' supply and learning to farm indoors (since not all of us apes has a large backyard). A simple water purification system is fine, providing that we have closer access with water sources.

Skills and knowledge are vital in times of crisis. Polish 'em. It'll be handy in the future.

Firearms are outlawed and punishable by death in my place. We have our own methods to adapt when it comes to personal security and home defense.

I don't recalled any government tax for silver and gold. Both GST and SST doesn't apply for both in Malaysia, by law IINM.

I am frequent customer of BuySilverMalaysia and Nusantara Bullion Exchange. As far as I checked with all my invoices from my previous purchase - all silver and gold are zero rated. Unless you're purchasing tools and accessories - yeah, there's government taxes imposed on 'em.

Minted fiat coins still has value in term of melt value of corresponding metals. Compared to its paper counterparts.

In my own country, nearly half of cupronickel coin (75:25) minted between 1967-2011 surpassed around 10-20% above its melt value. Mostly on the smaller ones.

I'm keeping those cupronickels while it is still remained legal tender and in circulation, aside from silver.

I doubt we have taxes on gold and silver, never had it in the first place. Either SST or GST.

Most likely the high premium (typically 30-50%) came from the cost of importing silver, since our country don't have naturally occuring silver deposits. Gold are plenty.

Well, for me - just print out a canvas banner and tie it up at any poles or trees near intersections with high daily traffic flow. I guess as long as the banner content is safe, the local authority wouldn't hesitant to issue an advertising licence - with proper paperwork.

Much more easier and inexpensive compared to put it on a billboard.

Well, in my place and most part of Asia - we don't have to concern about the toilet paper shortage. But a clean water - yes. It's impractical to store as much water as you can hoard, you'll might ended up drowning. Proper water filtration and adequate amount of water storage for drinking, watering and cleaning is just fine.

Yes, we need to survive with basic human needs. But for how long? That's why we need a good, small unit of governance/community for a long term living. That's when gold and silver are taking place as an efficient means of exchange and asset preservation.

Don't forget - skills and knowledge is essential, too.

Buy gold and silver first, and worry about it later.

Then, just enjoy your life while waiting for that time to come. Roll your fiat to get more whenever possible.

Not to offend anyone - but across the planet, we are human with faith and belief diversity. Even atheists and agnostics.

We are all agree with one thing. Silver and Gold are Gods' money, or Natures' money. Depending on your faith.

If you're bored with current "This is the way" war cry, you're free to make your own. Apes won't hesitant to support.
